Nose: earth / mineral/ agave sweetness/ pepper/ citrus / lime / grapefruit/ mint / flora / Taste: sweet agave / earth / vanilla / pepper / banana / melon / orange peel / citrus / lime/ anise / mint / baking spices / Finish: very light viscous mouthfeel that carries the lingering sweetness and pepper through to a clean minty finish. This blanco has a fantastic sweetness and other taste notes that work together to create a harmonious blend and an excellent taste experience.

The nose is lite for me but pleasant. It is foremost cooked agave. Followed by minerals some floral notes, mint and earth. The taste is an explosion of agave. With plenty of floral notes, pepper, brine, minerals, a touch of citrus and olive. I get a nice buttery finish. Great taste for the price. I highly recommend this tequila.

Nice agave and mineral taste. Some fruit but not overly sweet. This is very well done.

On the nose, loads of cooked agave, minerals, cinnamon and pepper. Very prominent pepper. Some floral notes, and a faint hint of black olive. On the palate, black pepper is strong, right there with the cooked agave. I’m honestly shocked at how much pepper I’m tasting here. A slight briny note. Nice and naturally sweet. Overall, an absolute stunner. I am rarely surprised by a tequila, but this was a step above.

With a very light presence, my first whiff and I get notes of old-school tequila. Coming back and it becomes more vegetal and citrus driven with hints of dry earth. Big and creamy texture on the palate, this blanco explodes with flavors that are definitely found in the nose. So def not additives being used here. I love the big robust finish. Would buy & drink again as well as recommend this to everyone as a proper and traditional tequila!

All I can say is WOW….. definitely try this. I’m going to pour another glass to identify the complex flavors….. very enjoyable Nose- baking spices (cinnamon), vegetal, light minerality , maybe a little floral, and light pepper. Taste- rich cooked agave, vegetal that leads into a slight citrus with a slight caramel taste ending with an explosion of black pepper. Mouthfeel- silky

NOM 1414 LDBC02049 150796 23/12/20 16:14 Olives (without the brine), agave, cinnamon and some artichoke are at the forefront of the aroma. A definite minerality has a strong presence as well. The aroma notes carry over on the flavor side with brine entering the picture. Pepper immediately hits on the tongue and lingers on the med finish. A fairly nondescript mouth feel. Only available as a blanco, but a worthy buy at $43. Could drink it all day

Very nice Blanco that needs time to open. Agave on the nose but also muted which is nice. Gorgeous flavor, oily almost buttery in your mouth. little pepper on the finish. Definitely recommend this and can't beat the price. Batch 001

This nose is crisp and refreshing. I smell cool sea air that’s crashing on a rocky shore. The salinity and minerality are prevalent. There’s lime zest on top of buttery cooked agave. There’s fresh herbs, possibly some cilantro and a hint of fresh cut green bell peppers. This nose is very pleasing, complex and clean. I first taste bright citrus zest and oils up front. Then I taste creamy cooked agave in the middle followed up by some fresh white pepper that transitions you into the peppery finish. The finish is cool on the palate and the pepper pleasantly lingers. This is an excellent Blanco. The nose, taste and finish are so cohesive. The flavors and so bright and crisp that this product would do well in any cocktail but for me I’ll take it neat all day! Salud Amigos!

This rating is for batch/lote 001. The batch/lote 002 would receive a lower score, probably in the mid to high 70s.

Strong floral notes and some citrus on the nose, orange blossom? The floral part shows up right away when sipped and the citrus lurks in the background for a minute before popping out as zest and rind, essential oil on the tongue. Not sweet in the least despite the citrus, think peel, not fruit or pulp. Roast agave lurks under all this and brings some balance to the whole profile. I like this for it's clean, natural flavor and taste but I prefer the recently rated Confianza profile more. Both are from 1414 so highlight the differences introduced by the skill of the Master Distiller and the brand owners preference.

Batch 001 Nose: The scent of freshly harvested agave. Big sweet ripe cooked agave notes with floral passion fruit, and a pinch of cinnamon. Hay, cut grass, mint and green tea wed harmoniously to the agave giving it an herbal sweetness. Trace minerals and cedar aromas. Flavor: Savory salty notes playfully tease the viscous sweetness - it literally makes your mouth water. This is rich and buttery, giving an almost custard like impression - balanced perfectly by the pepper warmth. This sits wonderfully on the palate as it evolves. Earthy minerals and bright herbal notes weave in and out mid palate. A layered, lingering and nuanced finish. A seductive tequila profile.

Nose of raw bees’s honey, cooked agave, and citrus. Inviting ramp of flavor. Complex, yet approachable. Tiny herbal spike at the end before the finish to let you know that you’re drinking a traditional product free from additives. Solid blanco, buy one and share it!

Nose of green olive, black pepper, and slight cinnamon. Nice, rounded oily mouthfeel with olive taste and spice and mint on the finish. Very enjoyable. Another great tequila made by NOM 1414 Master Distiller Sergio Cruz.

Nose: Agave, Mint, Earth, Floral (reminiscent of daisy), Orange Blossom, Olive, Brine Mouthfeel: light bodied Palate: Minerality, Black Pepper, Jalapeno, Pear Finish: Agave, Minerality, Pepper, Herbs Very pungent cooked agave off the cuff. This one comes off a little sweeter and with less citrus than most of the other regular strength blancos I've tried from 1414.

super neutral spirit to me with some sweetness but otherwise unspectacular (maybe it's the stuffy nose/sickness), excellent mouth feel, super soft and smooth on the finish. maybe one of the best mixer tequilas out there. super subtle and won't overpower your own drink.

Lot 2. Blind tasted w/ Volans, Fortaleza & Viva Mexico. Very nice sipper w/ tons of agave flavor and a very slight pepper medium finish. Re-evaluated after tequila school. Picking up citrus, mineral & floral aromas. Added flavors of citrus, mint, mineral & slight cinnamon. Bumped it up a couple points to reflect more complex aromas and flavor.

Batch 002 - 19/11/21. Somewhat muted and one noted for me. Getting a little citrus, champage, and a hint of mango in there but flat for the most part. Maybe the first batch was better. Not the best 1414 I tried so far. | A day after bottle was opened - getting noticeable cherry flavor.
