I believe I paid a little less than 100 for this extra Anejo tequila. It taste like it has been artificially sweetened. This reminded me of a tequila liqueur more than an aged spirit. Bummed out. I’ll probably stay away from buying anything from this NOM without trying it at a bar first.

Look, this tequila tastes like rum and it’s good. However you can tell this is not a pure tequila. There are additives. The purist in me says this tequila should be a 60 or 65 out of 100. The casual drinker in me that just wants a smooth tequila to sip on with friends says this is an 85 or 90.

The first is surprising, to say the least. It tastes like the smell of cheap men’s cologne or aftershave. Aroma is the same as first blast. Middle is the same. Final, finally some relief, leaving the palate with white sugar. Not able to finish the ounce pour.
