Smells like pipe tobacco and taste that way, too. It sweet and easy to drink but not at the level of the current Siempre products

Caramel, vanilla, slightly sweet, light agave notes

Nose: vanilla / agave sweetness / caramel/ banana/ mint / tea / jasmine . Chocolate Taste: vanilla bomb / sweetener / agave sweet / banana / citrus / licorice/ mint / peppermint Finish: quick, very subtle hints of banana/fruit- linger on the palate . Viscous but pleasant mouthfeel and light watery finish. The overwhelming tastes are vanilla then agave. Not a lot of barrel tastes despite being an anejo.

No thanks. Bitterness and fakeness.

From NOM 1438, the Anejo has a very artificial, additive flavor that takes over the mouth, starting on the sides of the tongue and overwhelms the finish. move on

This reminds me of all the things I don't like about additives. The Blanco in this line is OK but this Añejo is manipulated to the point where it is barely Tequila. There is some fake spice and oak taste that has much more sweetness than I would expect from any kind of barrel. Disappointing.

It would be a tough task to improve on the Blanco these folks are making, it was so good on its own that the oak is just muddying the waters. This has a nice gentle build up but I feel like it doesn’t peak high enough. Please note this rating is more of a reflection of my love for the Blanco than a slight on the Añejo.

It really is super sweet. I'm cool with that in an Añejo myself. Finish adds some pepper to a vanilla burst in sipping.

Ok-sweet on the nose-Carmel some vanilla. Taste is the same. It is smooth. So much better tequila for 54 bucks. But if you trying to sip tequila not a bad starter.

I like the 1438 nom of all three selections but I can’t wait to try the 1414 nom to see the actual difference but I love them nevertheless

Nom 1438 (additive added ) Got This on 50% discount at VABC and it was so good I went back and got another. Yes this Nom is most likely an additive tequila with agave syrup but damn if it isn’t delicious. The newer Nom is additive free, but the San Fran Double Gold went to this one. A person on Reddit called the aroma “vanilla cakebatter” and damn if it wasn’t perfectly spot on. This is a delicious drink that you can serve to your friends. This reminds me of Clase Azul Respo but better. It’s a dessert pour. Enjoy it as such. A delicious digestive. Now for purists I have great bottles of G4, Tequileno Plata, and Teq ocho on my bar as staples. There shall never be anymore nom 1438 .. oh well

For $35 a solid bottle on the sweeter vanilla, rice crispy side but enjoyable nonetheless, could be a bottle that goes well for a night with friends, easygoing.

Hard on the nose at first but then strong banana scent. Tastes of caramel and oak but the finish is all alcohol. Very average
