This tequila offers an excessively sweet profile dominated by artificial vanilla, pepper, caramel, piloncillo and unbalanced oak notes, deviating from the nuanced balance expected in quality spirits. The overwhelming sweetness masks the authentic agave character, resulting in a taste that feels more manufactured than genuinely enjoyable.

The profile of this series was pretty consistent until the XA….this is just over the top sweet for me. It’s very very.

Tasted this at Monterrey. Just yikes, I thought cava de oro was sweet this just defeats it. Tasted like a cheap rum. Zero and I mean ZERO tequila I’m this. Some of the worst additive tequila I’ve had.

Very sweet. People that don’t care about additives will enjoy this.

Woody with lots of vanilla flavor. Taste is comparable to a nice bourbon. Easy to sip, even better when chilled. Don’t water down with ice. Don’t even think about mixing with anything, it’s too good!

Aroma of rum and leather. Flavour is caramel, butter, tobacco, leather, banana. Long sweet peppery finish. This resembles rum more than tequila; the barrel pretty much overwhelms the agave. But nevertheless, it’s quite good, so long as you know what to expect. Grossly overpriced. Gorgeous hand painted bottle, if that matters.

Lots of vanilla on the nose. It was much smoother one it had time for some air. Became the perfect afternoon sipper in the pool. layers of flavors of agave, oak and butterscotch. Nice lingering finish.
