Just okay. Not getting much of the flavor from the Woodford Reserve and wine barrel aging. Not bad, but better options at the $60 price point.

This añejo reminds me of a tawny port with its aromas and flavors of raisins, caramel, vanilla, and red wine all surrounded by a mild nuttiness. The roasted agave was also present on the nose and palate, and worked really well with the other notes that were going on in there. A rich butteriness also made itself known as this opened up, which led to a very rich tasting experience. Other flavors I could detect include a touch of smoke, tobacco, oak, barrel spices, black pepper, cherries, and mocha. The finish was a little short, but was full of sweet agave and vanilla, followed by refreshing mint.
