Catemek, vanilla and cooked agave on the nose….vanilla bean on the tongue with some black pepper .. dark chocolate tastiness … coffee
Lightly wooded notes, slight sweetness. A fair repo
The barrel mutes some of the more astringint elements of the blanco but introduces other ones that I don't care for. The tongue buzz for this is almost entirely mid top. Again a fairly long finish but it fares worse than the blanco overall. Rating 750 30/06/2019
At first sniff I smelled citrus. On the palate I had hints of wood and a lot of cinnamon spice. Some pepper.A hot peppery finish that is long lasting. I will enjoy this one. A great value for the price.
Nice nose, not strong. hints of vanilla, buttery caramel and agave. very smooth up front , silky. slight pepper on the finish with a little bit of a bitter after taste very enjoyable.
Robust cooked agave, hint of oak, hint of honey
Bought this bottle for new years and we really enjoyed it in shots also enjoyed it mixed
Very sweet caramel aromas. Carmel & maple notes. Finish fizzles out fast and leaves an alcohol burn.
Carmel vanilla flowers
Kind of reminds me of patron repo, which I don’t mind at all.
For the money this is an outstanding Repo and the Double barrel are among my favorites to enjoy often on the rocks. Grab a bottle give it a try you will see.
Agave and pepper. Easy to sip
Light citrus and agave notes. Flavor is not sweet more plant based. Finish starts off smooth then leaves a little sour note behind.
$35 for a Repo of this caliber is unheard of until now. Wowza
nose citrus alcohol oak taste pleasant citrus, pepper, oak/barrel spice with warm peppery finish
l took a chance on this. $35 seemed like a fair gamble. I was pleasantly surprised & quite enjoyed it. Nice easy sipper. Not overly complex but tasty. Some oak, vanilla, cooked agave and also bit of black pepper I detected on the easy finish. I'll visit this again!
Glass: Glencairn -Tasting immediately after pour- Smell: Vanilla and mint Taste: Pepper and oak on the forefront Mouthfeel and Finish: Moderate initial bite followed by mellow buttery finish
Good value for the money. Smooth and tasty yet it lacks a depth and diversity of flavors. Good for sipping sure but a bit thin.
This is one of those tequilas that really needs an ice chip. It goes from meh, to pretty wonderful at its price point. Nose - oaky caramel toffee.. vanilla hint of fruit Taste - I get different then flavor profile.. I get creamy vanilla up front that turns to hints of chocolate, pepper and bust agave. Finish - long peppery chocolate fades to a mild burn with maybe slight hints of dark cherry or apricot then oak. I like it. But it’s not the most bang for you’re buck. The Anejo is only like $2 more and is just so so good. With food I’d prefer Espolon Repo for almost $5-$6 less. So.. at the end of the day I will always have a bottle of the Anejo around and open along with the Espolon Repo for food. I singed the value because for so little more you can have the amazing Anejo.
Very similar profile as the blanco but with vanilla notes & some burnt caramel(?) at mid pallet. Not bad but I’ll stick with the blanco on future purchases. Still a great value though at $27.99.
Very impressed with this tequila and recommend it highly. Nice subtle sweetness, caramel and some fruity flavors in there as well. A steal at $27, may very well become my go to tequila. Curious to try it in a margarita but it’s so satisfying neat... Next up is the Anejo!
Very smooth and balance. Good flavor nothing bad about this tequila. Great repo. 14.00 is a deal at walmart clearance. I'm glad I took a chance.
Nice affordable Reposado, smooth sipper with a nice after burn. Dig the bottle presentation of the embossing and label... curious to try the blanco and anejo
Bright, herbaceous aroma. Complex flavor skillfully balances wood-driven notes with robust presence of slow-baked Agave fibers. Creamy, succulent with a hint of sweetness. Medium long, with a touch of smokiness. I believe this is an excellent value and priced great for any tequila fan to enjoy.

Very different but nice repo. Definitely has a cheesy smell probably from the fermentation length. Taste is of agave, oak, vanilla bean, with a dark bitter chocolate at the end.
