NOM 1146 | This is a perfect gateway drug tequila for people who insist they don’t like tequila.....tons of sweetness and almost zero bite on the finish. This tequila clearly takes advantage of the additive allowance, lots going on that doesn’t strike me as natural but I’m not a hater. Overall decent juice, just not for the purists.

NOM 1146 | Quite thick and viscous in the mouth with roast fennel, sweet agave creme and some alcohol. This has a reputation for being overly sweet but just seems to me to be pretty full of agave and fennel and tastes natural. The prior distillery that this bottle is from, NOM 1146, is known for aging and blending unique barrel combinations as well as resting blanco in stainless steel for extended periods.

The bottle attracts attention and is distinct. I believe there is a story behind their bottle design. The basic blanco was actually better than I was expecting. It is fairly smooth on the palate with some “sweet notes” that some note in their reviews. It is a good value and conversation piece for sure. The blanco I would recommend chilled if doing shots or sipping. Worth trying, but not part of my collection or rotation.

NOM 1459 | Nose isn’t terrible, but smells salty. Taste is very salty, and it stays in the back of your throat. Tastes like smoother salt water, but still salt water. Slight heat, but no ethanol bite detected..

Incredible sweet Aroma for a Blanco. Almost vanilla orange with mint & pepper. Very mellow. This beautifully clear sip is silky smooth and truly clings to the glass with distintive tears. For this TequilaSnob, absolutely no tequila burn on the finish at all.

NOM 1459 | This tequila smells like vanilla and angel food cake. Amazing aroma! The flavour doesn’t match the smell though. It falls short and flat on the flavour. Zero pepper too smooth. Almost like drinking a desert.

NOM 1146 | nom 1146. This has the oddest aroma and flavor I've ever had in a tequila. Aromas of herbs under a ton of sweet vanilla. I wonder if it's rested? A very thick mouth feel with an entire field of flowers that must have been been watered with that vanilla I caught on the nose. The finish was fairly short, with a very faint hint of agave. The flowers are so overpowering, I almost gave it back to my glass. Not a bad tequila. Its definitely interesting, but the flavor just isn't for me.
