It’s the price above all. It makes great margaritas!

A good, inexpensive product from warehouse stores. It will work great in mixed drinks.

Nose: heavy alcohol burn but still nice aroma of pepper, asparagus; vegetal. Taste: alcohol is heavy again, much the same in aroma; pepper, vegetal. Low viscosity and bitter finish. Overall, it is definitely one of the better low budget tequilas. It's also a step up from Costco's Kirkland brand. NOM 1143

Note the bottle looks different now (better I might add). Nose is primarily sweet and caramel, with a slight acrid acetone note as well. Luckily acetone does not appear as much in the taste but aside from a minerality that fades quickly it is short lasting and uneventful. Similarly, the finish is nothing to write home about, with acetone emerging subtlely again here. The key advantage this tequila holds is price, with an absurd value of 20 dollars for 1.75 liters. I don't know what happened in the distillery to get to this price point, but the bottom line is that this tequila will work well as a mixer for your next summer bash. Obviously, it's not a sipping tequila, but the unsavory notes are subtle enough to go unnoticed in something like a margarita.

NOM 1143 | After seeing the other tequilas produced by this NOM I thought I would give this bargain a shot. In all fairness it tastes pretty alright but....HOLY HANGOVER. I mean I'm as regular a tequila drinker as anyone could be but this stuff, whoooo. Chainsaw hangover.

NOM 1143 | Very surprised that Sam's Club has a good tequila. It's a good value. Very drinkable......actually really liked it. I will buy this again. I will also try other Silver, White or Blanco styles so I can compare. I look forward to other reviews.
