Huge hit of oak off the nose and then overwhelmed by sweetness, not my thing but I see where it has its place

Super sweet and overwhelming taste of chocolate.. be hard to imagine there isn’t additives in it.. super disappointed to be honest.. I’ve got about 20 bottles in my collection and this one is the worst.. but hey. At least the bottle is cool

If you like new school tequila you’ll probably love this. If you like old school tequila you’ll probably not like it and say it’s too sweet. Another moderately sweet tequila and would be a good gateway tequila for those who typically aren’t a fan. For me, I thought the bottle was a bit cheesy but for $89 bucks, why not. Other than being sweet, vanilla, caramel, initial flavor and scent. Finish tastes of cocoa, coffee, cake batter. My initial thought of the aroma was fruity like a dark cherry hint. Good tequila overall.

No complexity. Must have addatives? Fruity, honey butter in the aroma. Super sweet cake batter & artificial sweetness in the taste. The finish is just a long super sweet ending that last for minutes.

Strong taste of almonds, marzipan. Mellow and sweet but not very complex. If you like complex aged spirits you can get sooo much better for this price.

I wrote them an email asking about the sweetness, asking if there was an additive added, they answered me and said the sweetness comes from the barrel aging, who am I to call them on it. Enjoyed it very much.

Nose is pretty nice, caramel, vanilla but little to no agave present. Palette is very sweet finishing long with caramelized sugar.

Al principio me agrado, pero en cuanto detecte el sabor dulce añadido no fue de mi agrado. Creo que se sobrepasaron con el dulce

The nose and finish expose all the sweetness in this Tequila. All in all Padre Azul makes a damn fine set of tequilas. Repo > blanco > anejo > most others.
