Scotch cask 2014 rested 11 mos in charred oak casks for 11 mos, then transferred to single-malt scotch casks from the highland and islay regions of scotland for 3 more months (my question = why is this not considered anejo? are the casks larger than 600 liters?) Nose is a little more dry than the port, more fruit, floral, figs/dates, also more alcohol and some funk Palate not as good as the nose, some oak, barrel spice, a little orange, has a band-aid flavor. Is that the peat from the scotch barrels? Finish is medium

First smell is an oaky caramel smell... definitely from the barrel. Smelling with the mouth open definitely smells just like scotch. Being a whisky drinker before tequila I like the aroma. The taste defiantly have that malty scotch taste. With a decent but of heat In The middle that doesn’t last long. Taste is slight smoke and butterscotch that with a long finish.

A little alcohol in the smell but after a few minutes lose it a little more. Nice sweetness in the taste, you can still feel the agave is well balance. Goes down without burn. Overall good, will drink it again.

Such promise off the nose, even with a swirl the vapours are rich and bold and have me dying to try what’s inside. This start out on the tip of my tongue with a familiar tequila taste but then takes an abrupt and violent turn to boozy fruit, if it was subtle it would be a masterpiece but it’s just too aggressive for me. Marks a decent recovery on the finish but doesn’t leave my craving my next sip, this is my least favourite of these expressions so far.

Very light and subtle nose. Sweet and smoky taste. I personally don’t love smoke so it’s lost on me. Not a strong finish, but I’m not sure it needs one.

Definitely has a peat smoke taste, if you like Islay Scotch you will like this tequila.

On the nose, light tones of butterscotch & slightly overwhelming alcohol scent; on the front of the tongue, light caramel, more butterscotch with slight burn on the throat; nice finish with warm tones on the back of the palette; purchased this bottle years ago, at an approximate price of $79.00 USD, this is a fair deal.

Better than I thought it would be. the scotch cask doesn't overpower anything. This is a decent sipper.

Great liquor, but the tequila characteristics are lost to the scotch flavors.

weird tequila with hints of gasoline, like mezcal

great for the whiskey fan and yet not too peaty for a tequila aficionado
