Tequila Herradura's Coleccion de la Casa, Reserva 2014 is reposado indulged: tequila that has matured in charred American oak then rested in single malt scotch casks.
Scotch cask 2014 rested 11 mos in charred oak casks for 11 mos, then transferred to single-malt scotch casks from the highland and islay regions of scotland for 3 more months (my question = why is this not considered anejo? are the casks larger than 600 liters?) Nose is a little more dry than the port, more fruit, floral, figs/dates, also more alcohol and some funk Palate not as good as the nose, some oak, barrel spice, a little orange, has a band-aid flavor. Is that the peat from the scotch barrels? Finish is medium
