Such promise off the nose, even with a swirl the vapours are rich and bold and have me dying to try what’s inside. This start out on the tip of my tongue with a familiar tequila taste but then takes an abrupt and violent turn to boozy fruit, if it was subtle it would be a masterpiece but it’s just too aggressive for me. Marks a decent recovery on the finish but doesn’t leave my craving my next sip, this is my least favourite of these expressions so far.

Very light and subtle nose. Sweet and smoky taste. I personally don’t love smoke so it’s lost on me. Not a strong finish, but I’m not sure it needs one.

Definitely has a peat smoke taste, if you like Islay Scotch you will like this tequila.

On the nose, light tones of butterscotch & slightly overwhelming alcohol scent; on the front of the tongue, light caramel, more butterscotch with slight burn on the throat; nice finish with warm tones on the back of the palette; purchased this bottle years ago, at an approximate price of $79.00 USD, this is a fair deal.

Better than I thought it would be. the scotch cask doesn't overpower anything. This is a decent sipper.

Great liquor, but the tequila characteristics are lost to the scotch flavors.

great for the whiskey fan and yet not too peaty for a tequila aficionado

Aged first in charred American oak casks used either Brown Forman's Jack Daniel's, Woodford, Old Forester. Then aged as I understand in two Scotch 'wet-barrels" barrels used that previously housed Glenmorangie & Ardbeg. Very nice aroma that the taste doesn't quite reach, but a nice and interesting dram indeed. Indeed a great X-mas present. Better than the JC Tradicional Reposado I received 2 years ago.
