Tequileña’s bargain bottling. Mexican 38%. $255 pesos ($13 USD). Nose: Round fruit notes, agave and some barrel spice. Flavor: Vanilla, pepper, a fair amount of sweetness and some bitterness. Finishes with pepper heat. Not bad. An edit as I’m on my second glass. This is a guy that can’t make bad tequila. Kudos.

Mexican 35% abv. versión, lote: 86XR14, bottled on 03-06-2014, tasted on 3-30-24. Color: yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave with a hint of sweetness, light acidity, hint of citrus, hint of earthiness, hint of orange peel, aromas are subtle. Hint of resinous sweetness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, hint of black pepper spiciness. Finish is medium, light cooked agave, light citrus with a hint of earthiness persists but not too long.
