NOM 1173 | The aroma is mild and begins to open up after a few minutes. It has light caramel but with time acetone presents itself. Don’t wait for a better nose. More into the flavor and finish. The flavor has some earthiness and minimal cooked agave. This has a nice mouthfeel which makes me suspect some additives. The finish finish has some warmth. The small bit of pepper is good. This is a nice tequila. It lacks complexity and depth of flavor but I’ve had harsher in and above this price range. Many people will like this because it is an easy drinker. Some friends liked this for that reason. I can’t fault that. I’ve heard that this is not that common. I will look for it again. This may be a great mixer while making a quality margarita or paloma.
