July 2012 bottling at 38% ABV. Nose: Ripe caramelized agave, with vegetal undertones, dry carbonic like minerals, lime and a brief lactic note. Fruity and floral as well. Flavor: Agave and spice forward. Spicy black pepper, cinnamon and cloves. Something in a floral vein occasionally popping into the picture. Some bitterness. Finish: Pepper, vanilla and anise on the final retrohales.

Some floral notes on the nose. In the mouth this is creamier than I thought it would be with roast agave and some nice pepper and fennel. Finish is short with some alcohol on the tongue. Better than I expected.

Aroma has cinnamon, agave, mushroom, green apple, and some alcohol. Overall not bad.

Very good. Flowery flavour. Much better than the Anejo. $44 CDN in Calgary, Alberta which is an excellent price. On sale - typically $75+.

Not much of an aroma here. A solid semi-sweet agave flavor with some pepper present too. A good finish. You can sip this one, but the price is so low that you could use this for cocktails too.

Nose: green veggie, grass, lots of mineral, floral, anise, tamarind. Taste: Black pepper, anise, agave, green vegetable, earthy notes of coffee. Rich mineral with a medium finish. A highlands I enjoy frequently.

first time buyer of this , it was recommended and is very good I'm big on the brick ovens, roller mill and highlands tequilas. this one meets all of them. very similar flavors of the Don Julio Blanco from Mexico. you know the one that is like 38% or 76 proof. it's a bit less expensive than the Don too. great bottle. would buy again.
