Really dig this 2006 tall bottle Gran Reserva repo. Much better and more going for it than the 50th anniversary añejo. Nice agave forward on both the nose and palate. Nutmeg, cinnamon, apple pie, herbal, minerals. Such a solid repo for under 40 bones.

A natural progression from the Blanco, this tequila didn’t need oak treatment but viola, here we are. Great performer from top to bottom.

What a bargain! This additive-free tequila is aged 8 mos in American oak before being blended with some (18 mo?) anejo. It’s a very smooth and naturally sweet tequila that picks up caramel color from the barrel, and light notes of oak, apples, honey, and candied nuts. Can’t believe they achieve this kind of sweet profile without additives. If you like that profile, this is a far superior option to the brands faking it with sugary additives. The new bottle goes for about $50, but I got this 2010 vintage square bottle for a steal at $30!

Bold and aggressive this has some sweetness lying under the initial spice on entry and fades nicely to little bitterness and some tongue and lip buzz. Thanks MB

Floral undertones, round tropical fruit and barrel spice on the nosing. Butterscotch. Flavor: Oily, peppery, big vanilla notes, with some nuttiness. Finish: There is a pronounced vanilla/caramel flavor going on, as the pepper recedes. This is on the sweet side - albeit natural. Great price point on this brand.

I want to like this one but it just falls a bit short for me. A lot of alcohol on the nose, but it softens and sweetens after 10 minutes in the glass. Mildly sweet on the entry, but sort of bland. It blooms on the mid palate, big alcohol with agave and white pepper spice. The finish is fairly long with a dandelion bitterness. A solid repo for the price, but not my cup of tea.

Sweet delicious agave and vanilla with that light peppery finish I love. At $18 online I'm going to order more.

This tequila gets extra bonus points for being extremely affordable. The aroma has slight pine and spicy vanilla. But it's the flavor and finish that are the nicest parts of the experience. Thick and oily, it coats your mouth with a warmth of roasted sweet agave and vanilla. Very easy to drink. This is a rare find, so if you spot it in a store, grab everything on the shelf.

Because of the volcanic mineral water from Jalisco it adds so much depth. Macadamia, toffee, additional oak from the added anejo.

I love that it smells & tastes like a real, high quality reposado tequila should . I finally opened this treasure bottle from 2018 . I’ve had the round bottle version about a year back and it was excellent too . Sweet Smokey agave, nice barrel notes , absent are the fake vanilla and caramel butterscotch additives so many of todays “new” tequilas are using . And I love the carryover of the cement fermentation tanks taste. This is the real deal . Enjoying it !

I love the whole history of this brand and tradition. I hope that the new company that bought them keeps doing it the same way( which I haven't tried it yet). Too bad they changed the bottle design. The aromas is agave, soft vanilla and soft oak, red apple, yes the smell of the red apple just after bitting it. The flavour it's agave, oak, pepper. There is a tiny flavour of bitterness and alcohol at the end, that doesn't make me fall madly in love with it but definitely it's a great reposado and a great tequila. This tequila makes me feel I'm in a town in my hometown in Mexico, in a cantina hearing Banda playing and enjoying myself.

bought this tequila from the tastequila recommendation. nice presentation, but the tasting fell short of expectation. the flavor profile is nothing special, very easy drinking, the body is too thin to my likings, finish is short. only thing positive is the low pricing.
