Cheap. Funk in the aroma and not much good taste in the mouth. The finish goes medium bitter with a lot of alcohol.

On the nose, this is interesting. There’s clear agave, but I’m not sure if I’m smelling cooked or raw. Definitely citrus notes, and something I can only describe as tobacco, which is a very weird aroma from a tequila in my experience. On the palate, heavy agave flavor and more fruit, reminiscent of banana. The “tobacco” flavor is there, very subtle, and subsequent sips give me something creamy/butterscotchy. Over ice, this transforms into a decent sipper. The sweetness comes out and the flavors combine in a very synergistic way. Very interesting and enjoyable. My verdict: As I suspected, the blanco really does stand-alone a lot better than the añejo, but Im curious about the reposado. All in all, Definitely worth experiencing, but at the price point, I’ll definitely pass it up since it’s only $5 away from ElVelo and $9 away from Tapatio, both of which come in 1L bottles, and both of which are more enjoyable for me personally. Still, this is a very competent tequila, and I’d have no problem recommending it, and one of the beauty’s about our individual differences is that this could be your absolute favorite tequila and you wouldn’t be wrong.

fruit forward, subtle minerality

Lots and lots of baked agave on the nose. Palate had cooked agave, along with citrus, mint and pepper. I didn’t pick up any defects or additives here at all. And It’s not bad for the price.

Agave everywhere you look and turn, this shit is delicious, surprising considering it’s pedigree. A definite must own.

NOM 1438 | Alcohol and green agave aroma. Tame tasting blanco. Did not match aroma. Vanilla and alcohol mild burn finish. Sipping was descent.

Bottle: Additional bottle information smeared/illegible Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked agave, citrus, black pepper, banana, minerals, alcohol, and vanilla…I’m pleasantly surprised, this is much better than I was expecting Palate: Alcohol, artificial sweetener, soap, medicinal, fake fruit, astringent, acetone, and bad cinnamon candy…this tastes like dollar store cough medicine Finish: Soap, alcohol, astringent, and medicinal…loses even the modest fake fruit and artificial sweetness from the palate Overall: I definitely had a moment of “you had me in the first half, I’m not gonna’ lie” during the tasting: the nose is fairly decent, but everything that came afterwards was a major letdown. It kind of reminds of how cilantro can sometimes taste overwhelmingly like soap. As this was a gift, I won’t feel too badly pouring the rest out.

For me, not the best sipper but will make a good mixer.

This is Total wines private label tequila. It’s super sweet and doesn’t taste like a real tequila should. Please pass on this next time you’re in total wine.

Pepper, citrus, mint with a bit of earthiness. Sampled this from a 50ml bottle.. only 4 bucks. Simple, not bad.

Extreme alcohol, soapy aroma. Very clean, watery body with very minimal agave and a subtle cinnamon like spice. Not a terrible tequila, but I would probably only use this to mix in drinks.

Alcohol on the nose and a strong taste of pepper. Definitely some agave as well but nothing too complex.

Great mixing tequila

Gotta say this is solid. It’s tasty but given that El Tesoro is $10 more it doesn’t seem that great because it’s quite a bit more expensive than Lunazul but not all that much better. They have def dialed into a flavor profile that’s attractive and can make you question your priorities though.

A go-to tequila for ranch water and margarita. Excellent value.

I believe this is the house brand for chain Total Wine & Spirits. Nice presentation . This blanco smells nice , clean , and normal . A little brightness of citrus and floral with the agave . Same for the taste . Well done at this price point . I wouldn’t hesitate on the others in the line .
