Chlorine smell (defect), nothing related to the flavor Flavor wise is good not great
Exceptional blanco and well worth the price. Smooth agave on the nose, followed by floral and citrus fades. Cooked agave followed quickly by carmely vanillaish flavors falling into sweets.
A viscous tequila that is vegetal in nature, indicative of the harvest. The initial aroma, to me, smelled like croutons, which i have to think ties back to the leavenings in the fermentation process. The citrus lingers on the palate. Very fruit forward and aromatic. Flavors of black pepper and agave throughout. It has a sweet, olive brine finish that lasts a long time.
Smooth sweet burnt agave with pepper finish ... Yes, also a tiny bit of a gluey flavor but it's ok.
This is a big authentic tequila with lots of bold agave present on the nose and palate, and a great pepper finish. I think I lean a bit more to the older 1079 crop, but I can't fault the newer 1580.
Amazing agave nose. Closest taste to a fresh baked agave I have ever tasted. Super-glycerine-y, though?
From a blind tasting in Seattle. More viscous in mouthfeel and smoother than B. Short finish overall.
My Guess: Don Julio
Aroma: Strong note of raw agave. It also has hints of pepper and banana. Flavor: The flavor has strong notes of pepper and agave. It reminds me of a traditional Blanco. There is also a hint of mint. Finish: the finish is nice and long. It slowly moves it's way down your mouth and into your throat where it lingers. Great finish.
graham cracker, baked agave, plantain
-tasted blind- Sweet caramel and agave nose. Baking spices and sweet agave flavors. Somewhat cloying. Mild finish.
This could easily become my fave. Super smooth with just enough kick to let you know you are drinking tequila. Wonderfully flagrant and a pleasure to enjoy as soon as you pop the top.
I love all the ArteNOM releases and this no exception. Although now discontinued, this is a really nice Blanco that is a great sipper . Nothing weird or standout , just a really nice , high quality blanco tequila that is an example to all distillers . Definitely can taste great agaves with some heat and vegetal tones . Salud Amigos !
Nose was good but nothing really stuck out more than a little agave and earthy/smokiness. The flavor is delightfully eye widening and a nicely balanced blend of sweet agave, citrus/lemon-pepper, mint/eucalyptus, mineral-earthiness and a little charcoal grill type smokiness.I get a picture in my mind of the agave halves, or quarters, roasting on an open grill grate. A light and refreshing creaminess and slight oily mouth feel. The finish is rich and bold and the flavors hang on to the lips and tongue nicely. There is a little surprising heat on the back but isn't overwhelming and just adds another dimension to this delightful offering. Will definitely buy again!
Very nice nose, cooked agave with a peppery mint-like smell. Taste is a spicy cooked agave with a nice mouthfeel. Medium finish with a little burn. I was told that there was not going to be any more of this line so I grabbed one of the last bottles, might not be able to buy any soon.
Chunks of white pepper and green capsicum Gentle banana mouth
Blind tasted, A Gluey butterscotch flavor, low test agave nose and all around pretty weird. No where near the 1079 release in execution or quality. Like the Brand and the concept, but skip this one. Note: There was a change of ownership along with the NOM change to 1580; clearly this is not being produced by the same producers of 1079. Hopefully they've ended up somewhere as they (1079) created some excellent tequilas such as 1921 and my favorite 1079, Aha Toro.
find I Do not like this aroma as much

Lote No. 18 Approx 30 Bx Initial nasal impact is drying. The aroma keeps getting more interesting - cooked agave, mineral, musty olive, butter and floral (lily perhaps). Pleasant oily mouthfeel. Flavor of roasted agave, mint, vegetal with and olive. Nice pepper balanced throughout. There is some nut (almond?) and cinnamon present as the flavor develops. The finish is medium and warming. It is amazing to find a tequila at such a high brix level (ArteNOM 1079 is also at 30). A really nice blanco that I could sip every day. Unfortunately it is no longer made.
