On the nose, Very sweet, rounded cooked agave. A bare hint of vanilla and melon, a touch of mint. A slight green bell pepper note. Sweet, robust cooked agave immediately. Some tropical fruits, a bit of plátano. A little bit of mint on the finish. A bit floral, pleasant sweetness. Very oily mouthfeel, and a relatively long finish. Overall, Very damn solid, definitely a very good flavor profile, complex and robust enough to be very interesting while also, I think, being worthwhile of sipping for hours. I am impressed. I’ve seen it at $57.99 - $69.99 and above $60, I think it’s a little steep. At $57.99, I’d say it’s still a little steep because it’s competing with things I like a lot more. Still, it’s different enough from my usual lineup that I’m considering picking one up.

Agave forward on the nose with fruitiness and some oak, orange/citrus then a vegetal aroma very complex on the nose. The mouth gives way to cooked agave, vanilla oak and black pepper. … finishes with fresh mint.

Tried it at the LA Tequila Fest 2021, and really connected with the founders and brand background. Aromas were pleasant and inviting; slightly sits on the sweeter side of blancos with strong presence of cooked agave, tropical fruits (banana, coconut & pineapple). As you keep sipping it unfolds a bouquet of flowers like orange blossoms along with citrus notes of orange and grapefruit, then ends with a slight kick of bell peppers and subtle notes of black pepper. Will definitely recommend as a sipper, hope to see this brand in different markets. Thoughtful bottle design which resembles Mexican heritage with metal caps and a beautiful eagle attached to the bottle.

Caveat one is that we are drinking this out of a glass that has a hard time being a tequila glass, being more reminiscent of a vodka slider test tube on the gallows. Maybe that is caveat two too. This blanco starts out being very pleasant, but turns the corner and you have wasps attacking a poor zebra donkey. Despite the shock, we would still drink this again.
