NOM 1590 | Nose is unpleasant. Cherry? Fruit? Dark notes. Palate was the most palatable part as the finish is terrible with quite a burn on finish. I suppose what is expected with diffuser made tequila.

NOM 1590 | Nose: Ripe fruity aromas, barrel spices, and some earthy notes. Flavor: Flavors follow the aromas. Semi oily sweetness, moderate barrel spice, a hint of almonds and a touch of pepper. Nothing offensive here, but pretty much cookie cutter. Finish: A little caramel with pepper blooming at the tail end.

NOM 1590 | Mexican 35% abv. versión, lote: 110517, bottled on 26-05-2017, tasted on 10-13-23. Color: yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light stone fruit sweetness, light acidity, a touch of vanilla, cream soda, a touch of effervescent sensation which helps aromas to be more expressive. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, creamy mouthfeel. Finish is medium, light sweet cooked agave with balanced sweet sour and acidic notes persist. Note to self, drink this tequila sooner than later after serving it, it is better, and with time it becomes very subtle.

The regular Don Ramon reposado is a better choice.

NOM 1420 | Aroma is mildly spicy with some hints of hay. Flavor has notes of anise and other warm spices. This tequila has a lot of body to it (i.e., not thin and watery) which gives it a heavier, rounded mouthfeel. Finish is hot and peppery, but not harsh. Goes down fairly easily. I purchased this bottle in Mexico and it was very inexpensive. The tequila in the bottle fair exceeded the price I paid.
