Cake batter, copper tone sunscreen, fake vanilla

Aromas of pitted fruit and caramel apple, and a little bit of a process defect that gives a funky smell. Strong and heavy handed aroma for a repo. Sweet flavor and finish.

Inexpensive, and it shows. A little rough and unrefined, maybe from aging on uncharred barrels. A couple drops of water makes it more accessible. For me it's just too blunt to be a good sipper, and lacks the agave character to be a good mixer, so I can't recommend it. Re-tasted 9/15/16, better than my first rating. A decent value sipper.

Toro de Lidia is a solid brand all around. The Repo is fairly average on aroma with hints of agave and oak. The flavor is very pleasant though with oak, vanilla and agave. Very smooth finish with just a bit of lingering burn. Great tequila for it's value but can be hard to find widespread.

The initial aroma reminded me of cheap tequila that I drank in college. As I got past the first impression it really didn't improve much. I'm not a fan.

Lots of agave flavor. Some wood, oak? Not bad for a bargain tequila.

better windshield but the flavor and smoothness is very good although it's hard to detect what exactly you're tasting

Not a sipping Tequila, but excellent mixer to add more complex flavors to your margarita or Tequila Sunrise.

Review #124 - Toro de Lidia Tequila Reposado

A very well crafted lowland reposado. Very consistent flavors with the rest of the line. You can really taste the character of the blanco base in this one.
