From a recent bottle which no longer carries the 4 year age statement. The online retailer showed the square ceramic bottle, but shipped the round glass one. Grr

tried this back in 2015/16ish when i first heard of it, and I liked it. i tried it again a few years ago and it seemed sweeter. questioned whether it might contain additives? I would need to try it again to know

Aroma: Cooked agave, and fruit. Caramel, butterscotch. Toffee. Candied Orange peel. Pineapple rind. Palate: Agave and vanilla right off the bat. Fruity, rich. Definitely getting the burnt Orange a bit, and a toasted almond. Verdict: Very interesting and complex. I bought this on a whim at my local Total Wined based on a combination of me having a coupon and a somewhat favorable review of the añejo from Lou Agave. If this has additives, it’s exceptionally well done, but I suspect the sherry cask finish is putting in some work here. Not a dessert tequila, but sweet enough to satisfy a minor sweet tooth. I like it alot, I’ll be keeping this around, it definitely scratched a particular itch.

This is good stuff. I know I'm slurring, but whatever.

Saw the reviews and got a bottle. It’s good, but would have to agree that there might have be a decline in the quality from years past. Still a decent bottle. Wonder about if there are additives?

The last bottle I had seemed too sweet. I don’t know if it was my imagination but it didn’t seem as sweet in previous bottles. Maybe they cut corners or rushed the process since it is a 3 year tequila. Who knows? Does anybody have info on that?

El Olor: Nice and light. Not overburdening. Floral and sweet like honeysuckle with a small hint of citrus - but not lemon, darker like orange. Slight hints of cooked agave. Missing is pepper, leather, tobacco, oak/cedar that you find in aged tequila. El Sabor: Surprisingly not sweet like the smell. Still an easy sipping and smooth flavor. Strong cooked agave and white pepper, some herbal notes like a little freshly mowed grass. Very simple and clean. El Final: The texture is thin and watery so it only pauses a moment on the pallet then fades. It is tasted on the sides of the tongue and back before disappearing. This would be an excellent tequila to pair with fish or ceviche since it fades fast and dies not compete. Pleasant and smooth from start to finish.

Light on the nose and on the taste buds. Not what i am looking for from an extra anejo but it is kind to the pocket book

My personal #2. Only a Herradura Suprema Reserva tops this.
