NOM 1489 | Aroma: light on agave but heavy on grass and earth tones. Palate: mint, herbal, earth, citrus and green olives. Finish: green olives and earth tones. Not much agave flavor.

Aroma filled with licorice and the finish somehow feels like Texas, sweet and smooth at first yet with texture and roughness at the end. Interesting stuff.

NOM 1489 | Big agave nose. Good sweetness and peppery spiciness. Finish isn't long or great and it's slightly harsh, but the agave is there from start to finish.

NOM 1457 | Very hot with alcohol on the nose and palate. There is a lot of fruit on the nose underneath the burn. I can pick up some citrus notes to it. On the palate is quite simple not overly complex but no flaws and balanced. I would put mixed versus sipping.

Tried this blanco at the Hyatt hotel bar in downtown Houston in a tall shot glass. Good agave flavor with medium alcohol burn in the finish. Not a bad tequila, but probably better for mixing. C+
