38% Mexican version. Nose: Ripe agave, berries, dark cherry and barrel spices. Flavor: Nice viscous mouth feel. A hint of banana, vanilla, anise, cinnamon and medium pepper. Finishes with pleasant sweetness, pepper and some bitter notes. Some oak is peeking through.

Tasted to compare with the Maracame Reposado from the same NOM. Many similar elements between the 2 in mouth feel, nose and spice. The Don Agustín has a more bitter finish though and so I would prefer the Maracame.

NOM 1456 | Mexican 35% abv. version, lote: 2014031, bottled on 31-03-2014, tasted on 12-31-23. Color: light yellow. Aroma: hint of cooked agave, light vanilla, light earthiness, aromas are quite subtle. Light citrus. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light citrus, ends a tad bitter. Finish is short to medium, a hint of cooked agave, light earthy and a tad of bitterness persists for a short time.

NOM 1456 | I bought mine in 2003. Finally Open the bottle in 2020. The flavor and notes of this Tequila are beyond anything. Smooth. 100% Agabe. Sad they don’t sale this Tequila in the US. Highly recommend the Reposado. This is pure gold. -paisa certified.

Tastes of wood, smoke, butter, green olive , pepper. This tequila has a hint of bitterness and a floral nose a touch of vanilla. Finish starts out strong and peppery but quickly smooths our to a buttery finish.
