Blind tasted: Review for NOM 1079 (old school) One of my top 5 for the night
NOTE- this rating (89) was the 38% NOM 1079 Repo. The 1529 was also excellent, and ONLY because of the higher proof, came in almost even (88). The NOM 1545 was not close, with too much caramel (83)

Sampled at Kalaveras Mezcal/Tequila Tasting January 2019
NOM 1545 | Aroma - light cooked agave, cherry, hazelnut Flavor -light sweetness, chocolate, berry, oak Finish - sweeter finish, seems to fall off, lacking anything distinct. Not bad at all, maybe a little too sweet, not artificially though.
NOM 1545 | Carmel and slight burn on the finish. Not bad. Worth a try.
nose has hints of spice and vanilla taste is smooth with a slight burn on the finish.
NOM 1545 | The Blanco profile with a slice of barrel spice. Again, old school vibe.
NOM 1079
nice nose , agave forward , smoother than the Blanco , but much rather have the Anejo , not bad , affordable .
great flavor, raw agave along with sweet notes. Smooth and slight buttery flavor.
Early Times barrel. Tequila tastes like barrel. Not a fan.
