Little musty on the nose but the agave is there. Clean basic palate and easy to drink. No complexity but I like it

This is held back by the stainless steel distillation for me. Fairly simple profile of caramelized agave and some alcohol along with some slight bitterness.

Nose: Agave, minerals, alcohol and sharpness. Flavor: Agave, cinnamon, pepper, a hint of citrus and some bitterness. Not terribly complex but a definite bargain.

A good tequila for the price. Aroma of cinnamon and cooked agave.

Nose: agave, thyme, olive, brine, cinnamon, minerality, black pepper. Mouthfeel: Balanced, Medium to full- bodied Palate: black pepper, minerality, green bell pepper Finish: Anise, wheat, alcohol, black pepper This was okay. The nose was decently complex, the mouthfeel was more viscous that I would have imaginwd. based on the nose but the palate and especially the finish seemed to fall short. There's not a lot of depth or complexity going on there. The finish itself is short lived and underwhelming. Not the worst but FAR from the best

On the nose, agave, subtle sweetness with a hint of cinnamon. The aromas carry over with some added minerality, brininess, and a touch of citrus. It’s not very complex, this definitely fits the profile of some old school tequilas. Great value & works perfectly in a Paloma/Margarita.

A rustic and simple reasonable brand. There are no special elements, but considering the price, the quality is enough.

L 140922HVB007. Aroma: salty raw agave, black olives, herbaceous, slightly minty, almost no agave sweetness. Palate: salty raw agave, thick mouthfeel, black olives, light mint, herbaceous. Finish is medium to long, the salty raw agave notes persist.

Herbal and medicinal. Not much of a support. Polished it off in Ranch Water cocktails.

Best used in margaritas.. I had this at Merisol Restaurant at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa in Pismo Beach. It’s a bit more ethanol forward then agave comes in. Good but best in a margarita as is their main use for it.

Grape skins, musty wood. I'm beginning to appreciate this dimension of profiles but it's more like grappa than tequila.

Right agave aroma, nice tequila impression on the nose, cones in warm but down strong at the end. Good price point.

Review #268 - Hacienda Vieja Tequila Blanco

I picked this tequila from NOM 1412 on the recommendation of someone who knows that I like good tasting & well priced tequilas. There's nothing fancy about this one, but I'm not all that concerned with the packaging (although some tequila bottles are stu

Tequila Hacienda Vieja Reposado warms you up without burning a hole in your pocket

At a cost of about $15 (on sale) to $20 for a 750ml bottle, Hacienda Vieja Tequila Reposado seems like a great value for the money.
