Nose: Fruity and floral aromas laced with cinnamon, nutmeg and light clove. A dusty touch. Citrus and anise pull up the rear. Flavors: There is bitterness, light pepper and a hint of caramel. The nuances of the nose flatten out to a nondescript heat. The bitterness dissipates as it opens up. Finishes with an anise note. This tequila had been sitting on a shelf for a very long time. At $125 pesos, it was worthy of a try.

According to PocoTequila NOM 1464 used to be NOM 1141 Elaborado y Procesadora de Agave y sus Derivados, S.A. DE C.V. better known in the Porfidio days. Aroma: Mild cooked agave, fruity & some spice. Flavor: mid palate light spicy fruit (pineapple?), back palate weird sour-creme thing with a hint of bourbon (guessing American oak). Dry mild finish. Did not know what to expect from this bottle for $85MX pesos. Not bad but not great.
