Vanilla and butterscotch on the nose. Nice mid palate. The finish is a bit harsh. But it makes a really great Margarita!

a light sweet reposado, with aromas of baking spice and ice tea notes, along with light caramel and vanilla, creamy and earthy. Sweetness and creamy taste, with some alcohol and honey.

Some initial bitterness on the finish holds this down a bit. Bottle is at least 10 years old and from a trip to Vegas (Area 51 anyone?). Bottle identifies as 101008/R106 This is a spicy, wooded product and the composite cork did a great job of sealing as this tastes as new. Roast agave, cardamom and some earthy notes fade to a lip and tongue buzz from alcohol. After a couple of minutes the finish fades from the bitter to some lingering natural sweetness.

Mexican 40% abv. versión, lote: LT030423R, marbete is from 2012, tasted on 6-2-24. Color: light yellow. Aromas: cooked agave with a hint of sweetness, light acidity, hint of citrus, hint of green vegetal notes, hint of pepper spiciness. After 20 minutes in the glass, an agave fiber aroma & sweetness becomes more intense and almost dominating. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, slightly spicy, hint of lemon & orange. After 20 minutes in the glass it becomes sweeter and slightly impregnating. Finish is medium to medium long, light agave fiber, light citrus with the slightly impregnating sweetness persists. Feels thick & "heavy" both on the nose and palate after being oxygenated.
