Aromas unfold with prominent notes of agave, a subtle interplay of light oak, a hint of brine, very mild pepperiness, alongside the delicate fragrances of floral and molasses. The ethyl aroma is light and unobtrusive. The palate reveals the essence of agave, accompanied by an intriguing and unidentifiable gourmand spice, subtle hints of honey, the sweetness of barrel influence, a delicate floral note, and a nuanced almond nuttiness. The finish, is where a light spice gracefully lingers. The sweetness, reminiscent of brown sugar, adds a satisfying layer, complemented by a pleasing earthiness and a refreshing watery essence that endures on the tongue.
revisiting this today july 10, 2023 along with thegrowbar live with Heidi, Anderson, Justin and E. tastes even better now. I'm getting all the notes i mentioned below but also some bourbon and the finish is nice and warm. updated my rating slightly tried a taste of each expression at the tequila people event in san diego 8/22. need to revisit for tasting notes... tasted again 10/20/22 immediatley after i opened the bottle, i got a very sweet nose with some oak. barrel spices. a lot going on. complex. even got pears. maybe a little coconut. as it opened up, I got more caramel, vanilla, some heat. the pears diminished as it sat. it's smooth and sweet. good sipper. finish had some notes of chocolate and orange peel and brown sugar leave the glass out, and sniff it after it's empty. its really good

Honey, vanilla, caramel nose, sweet vanilla, cream taste from new single use barrels. Flavorful Reposado
Pleasantly surprised for the Reposado. You will get good juice and cool bottle. Deducted some points because of price, but understand why that tag (unique bottle, extra consideration on the agave growth & industry factors)
Oak, vanilla, and… grape? Clean and pretty tasty.
I first smell the sweet cooked agave on top of a dry barrel note and some spices. The agave is carried through from the Blanco and the 8 months of barrel aging softens the nose and adds the spice notes. This is a well balanced and pleasant nose. While I sip I first taste the buttery cooked agave and natural sweetness on my palate. Then I swallow and the barrel notes and some baking spices hit. The finish has a cayenne and chocolate note. It has a spicy desert quality and a nice oily mouthfeel. Medium finish but overall a rather flavorful Reposado. Salud amigos!
Aroma: sweet prominent caramel mixed with subtle cooked agave Taste: sweetness that fades quickly to mild peppery ethanol Finish: somewhat weak and taste disappears quickly Overall: very basic reposado with pleasant aroma but not prominent agave and initial sweet taste that fades quickly, fairly easy to drink and would probably make a good mixer as a light bourbon substitute
From an historic horse racing family in Mexico
Vanilla, chocolate (raw cacao), some cooked agave, barrel spice and black pepper, some fruitiness (not as much as the anejo). Medium finish.
LOTE03RCAB, tasted on 11-24-23. Color: light yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave with light sweetness, hint of vanilla, fruity sweetness, the longer in the glass the more intense the wood note becomes. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, wood note is very active, astringent and bitter. Finish is medium to long, a hint of cooked agave with vanilla and astringent and bitter wood note persists.
Nose: Oaky cinnamon Taste: Agave, woody notes, caramel Finish: Cooking spice, medium finish
Smoked Wild Turkey and Turkey Creek
Wonderful smell. Long Vegetal flavor followed by hint short agave then a super long mix of vegetal and herbal mint finish. Alcohol kinda hanging around in the background. It’s a great offering but at a hefty price. While the flavors taste good, they also taste fake. Nothing at this distillery is certified additive free while some are certified organic, organic can still have additives.
This is really good and the 100 ml bottle I got is super double cute. District from the Blanco. Enjoyed it. Would recommend and look forward to drinking again.
I get a lot of cooked agave and barrel spice. Hints of orange peel and buts of toasted almond.
Catado in progress
Oak on start and sweeter/fruit on finish. Clean and very nice.

Nose: vanilla/ sweet agave cooked / butterscotch/ banana / pear / cherry / lime / orange / anise / tea / spearmint/ baking spice / chocolate/ molasses/ maple / cream soda Taste: sweet agave cooked / vanilla/ pepper / caramel/ banana/ pear / tobacco/ lime/ lemongrass/ tea / nutmeg/ baking spice / chocolate/ maple / cream soda Finish: very low viscosity mouthfeel/ lingering vanilla, agave, and black pepper/ pepper and a hint of vanilla sweetness are the predominant flavors on finishing swallow. This reposado has a very nice finish that favors some of the pepper notes, but the sweet agave snd vanilla are all along for the ride. There’s not a lot of blended harmonious uniformity to the tastes, but they are still bold and enjoyable in each their own right.
