Cooked agave with earth. Nice and oily. $30 or so. Excellent value.

Great sweet nose of soft citrus that indicates no burn. clean and smooth. fruity on the tongue, with orange dominating. amazingly no burn with clean sweet finish.

The aroma has a strong note of pepper and hint of agave. The flavor is on par with the aroma with a strong taste of pepper and also is a little metallic. The finish is pretty mellow and falls off quickly. A decent blanco but not my favorite.

My first impression was that this is an OK average sort of tequila. Has some decent agave flavor and a nice sweetness, if a bit thin tasting. But it has an unpleasant artificial aftertaste that lingers forever. I had to pour myself a high octane mezcal just to get the taste out of my mouth.

Value is only given half as I am unaware of the cost.

Review #212 - Alma de Agave Tequila Blanco

NOM 1509 is a wonderful distillery. They make one of my 3 favorite lines, so I figured at the price Alma was worth a shot.
