Medium amber color in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave, butterscotch and oak. Flavor of oak, cinnamon and a medicinal hint in the first sip. Didn't pick that up in subsequent sips. Medium finish.

Oddly shaped bottle that has been blown askew. With a 2007 stamp and at 38% this has a surprising amount of spice and flavor. I've had this bottle more than 10 years but this tastes quite fresh which is a good thing. Feels natural in the mouth and has a moderate amount of oak spice and barrel influence.

Nose: Some green notes, cut grass and vegetal nuances playing against vanilla, butterscotch, brown sugar and cinnamon. Hints of peanut brittle. Flavor: Vanilla, heavy handed barrel spice, pepper heat with some finishing bitter oak undercurrents.

The aroma is super subtle. There's a hint of agave (which surprised me for something aged this long) and also smelled a bit like rubber. There's a flavor upfront that I can't quite decipher that is pretty harsh and then follows with a nice smooth oak finish.

Very closed aroma. Slight scents of agave and wet cement. Strong taste of barrel and heat/spice. Warm, lingering finish.

I've had the bottle for 17 years purchased directly from the motherland in el DF and kept in a cool and dark place. Popped it a celebration of life and it was gone in 30 minutes. Everyone loved it. I'm not sure what the current production is like, so this rating only applies to this specific bottle as I'm certain its production has probably changed.

LOTE 12090332, marbete is from 2010. Color: yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, slightly citrus, light vanilla & oaky notes. Palate: light sweet cooked agave, feels thin, maybe because there was only 20% of the volume left in this bottle, slightly minty. Very light vanilla & wood notes. Finish is short, light sweet cooked vanilla persists but not for long.

Nothing overly complex. Straightforward agave, vanilla and citrus. Rich flavors though with a nice balance of sweetness and spice in the finish. Decent price as well.

I have to be honest I had low expectations for this. Sat on my bar over a year. However, after opening up an hour, it’s not too bad. The nose is all vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, and agave at the end. The palate is bourbon-esque and leaves that nice middle tongue spice burn that I seek as it finishes. The finish hangs around a while too, but a tad of chemical creeps in at the very end. Just a tad though, overall this is decent. Good surprise.

I don't get it. It's like they refined the regular anejo (red bottle) and it removed some flavor and complexity. Always go for the standard Corralejo anejo or the blanco. Skip this bottle and the reposado.

Nose is pretty spicy, with some American rye feel. Reminiscent of Rittenhouse rye, dried fruit etc. Flavour is much less complex than the nose. Very soft, barrel is present but not as much agave as I would like. I do enjoy the finish as it does bring it back to agave with a not overwhelming dryness which brings more sweetness on a secondary sip.
