Bottle is from Nov. 2009. Not bad initially and has that underlying pineapple/fruit element to the flavor similar to other Herradura products from that time. It has an odd undertone on the finish that says diffuser artifact, fake sweet like nutrasweet. Finish is short and smooth with little ethanol on the tongue or palate.

Mexican 38% abv. versión, LOTE 090822112, bottled on 19 OCT 10, marbete is from 2009, tasted on 4-6-24. Color: yellow. Aroma: cooked agave with light sweetness, light fruitiness, hint of vanilla, wood note that gets more intense and mutes other aromas as time goes by, hint of resinous sweetness, light acidity. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light black pepper spiciness. Wood note slightly dominating. Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave with light black pepper note, hint of fruitiness and slightly dominating wood note persists. Note to self: drink this tequila sooner than later after serving.

500ml bottle has a unique built in plastic pourer, which i really like for small pours. anejo. 2012. quick thin legs. golden yellow color, like raw egg whites. nose is white pepper, pears, light cinnamon, hint agave, and alcohol. initial taste of tropical fruit, pepper, agave. mild oily. finishes with pears, white pepper, agave, hint honeysuckle. body/aftertaste is hint of agave, slight sugar cane sweetness (bueno), fresh pears, light cinnamon, pepper, and almost hidden oak.. delightful on occasion, but sometimes im craving more agave. i especially enjoy having subtle hints of oak. this would be suitable for salad, cheese, or light dessert course that isnt too sweet/creamy. if it had some citrus and saline notes, the bouquette would be my vision of a perfect reposado. yes, i am speaking about this anejo. got as a gift, but can be found in california for ~33$
