De única personalidad, muy cálido y maderoso. Afrutado como los de Arandas. Buen cuerpo y ligeramente ácido

Very nice nose but unfortunately it doesn't translate into the taste. The flavor has a hint of vanilla with a little fruit with the finish being peppery and a little spice.

bought a few of these Espolón Tequila Reposado "El Colorado" Terminado en Barricas de Bourbon (Mexico only bottling) at Walmart MX for $89 MX pesos. Aroma: quite a bit of barrel (oak), hint of chocolate, nut? & fruit (pineapple). Flavor: semi oily, creme brûlée, hint of anise, fruity (orange jam?), peanut brittle. Short-medium finish with pepper & spices. This offering has a nice aroma but the flavor doesn't quite live up to its promise. Still at the price and its bourbon-like notes this isn't too bad of an offering esp for newbies. Still enjoy the older El Espolón juice more than the new Skyy Spirits Campari juice.

Only available in Mexico. The bourbon barrel is very evident on the nose, but not in the flavor- Vanillas and toffee with a bit of wood smoke. The alcohol is present on first pouring but give a moment to breathe and its gone. Flavor is not very complex compared to the nose. Somewhat vegetal and spicy. Finishes fairly clean, but the spiciness seems to hang around a minute- similar to the reposado available in the States. Overall its a tremendous value, I wish it was available here so I didnt have to waste space bringing it back instead of an ultra-premium.
