Bright agave nose, very light aging. Easy going palate with little sweetness on the back end of the palate and slight pepper finish. This is not bad at all for a budget bottle. A very easy introductory pour. Got it for $10.99

Easy to sip bargain brand. The nose is agave, barrel spice and some slight smoke not evident in the blanco. In the mouth this sauve without being bland with agave, barrel spice and minimal alcohol. A short finish fading to some lingering sweetness.

Nose: Barrel spice, floral and fruit notes, earth and minerals. Flavor: Pepper and banana bread spices. Toasted nuts and sweet agave/honey. A touch on the sweet side and a hint of bitters. Finish is bit hot, with a hint of mint and a mustiness. Probably great in a mixed beverage.

I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of the aroma of this tequila, but the flavor, finish, and value are really nice. The price is very affordable, which means you can make a nice cocktail with it and not go broke. I can drink it straight and be happy, too.

Not typically big on reposados but thought I’d try it. Definitely wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Really prominent alcohol smell and taste that stood out in mixed drinks, although it had a relatively smooth finish (I assume because of the aging). Had way too much pepper for my personal taste and, when used as a mixer, didn’t really complement anything especially well. I found a box set for $23 with 2 engraved shot glasses and decided to try it, so in my specific circumstance it was a good value. Worth trying, but I won’t buy again.

NOM 1412 Lote 021122HVR008. Tasted on 8/10/24. Very pleasant aroma of butterscotch and carmel. Lots of spice on the taste and finish. Bought to make Cantaritos but good enough to sip. At $22 it is a great budget option.

Nice sweet oak and hints of vanilla. Alcohol on the nose right away, but this opened up after 20 mins in the glass.

L 010223HVR002, tasted on 9-29-23. Color: light yellow. Aroma: salty cooked agave, brine, very light vanilla & wood note. Slightly herbaceous, slight acidity. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, ends with pronounced salty cooked agave. Finish is medium to medium long, salty cooked agave note persists. Ends slightly astringent.

An odd screw top. My first, Haha! Some spice and Agave in the beginning with a short finish of black pepper. Can't beat the price. 25 bucks at a Mexican market in Oxnard. I don't know how wide spread this is but the value is there. Don't be fearful of the labeling. Better than many expensive choices. It is an 80ish product however. Judge wisely.

Excellent for the price

Nose: Medicinal. Remember when you were six and first smelling your parents alcohol for the first time? That’s was this reminds me of. It’s sharp and unpleasant. Flavor: I had high hopes with this based on reviews. It tastes like dirt. Agave flavored dirt. Caramel is a suggestion. Barrel spice is a possibility, but it would be more like eating the allspice while making gingerbread men. I’ve tried this in a couple of mixed drinks and it’s let me down every time. Finish: Fine, I guess. I’d rather it didn’t finish based on the flavor. Long pepper. Value: Cheap, but you can do better. Also weird plastic pouring valve on it. Initially takes time to get out. Ending up pouring some on my counter because I was confused. Makes sampling hard and awkward. Final: Nope. Not worth. Maybe the blanco is better, but the resposado just feels like waking up with a hangover and a night full of bad decisions.

decent tequila for mixed drinks

Not much nose. Nice, clean, agave flavor. Lightly aged. Clean finish. Entirely drinkable tequila for a good price.

Caramel agave fruit citrus

This tequila has a pronounced nose that invites tasting. It is unusually strong in alcohol and carmel. The finish is almost immediataely and full.

12/11/17 $18 Pears, musty wood, agave. It's like grappa with an agave kick but still my sense is I've imbibed sophistication.

Meh. It was on sale and I thought to give it a try since already inexpensive. It was $17 for fifth.

I liked that the flavor hit you and then immediately is disappeared! Made it easy to sip for long periods of time!

Fruity and fresh agave light and complex, thin with refreshing notes of pears and green grapes. Great for the price.
