sipped some of this at Teos in downtown San Jose del Cabo Jan 11, 2024. Salud! it was the best tequila they had at that bar. converted some people who were ordering crappy tequila. it had been awhile since I'd had this tequila. it's a decent sipper. a little sweet not overly complex. salud!

Caramel, vanilla, honey, oak, cherry. Very sweet, surprised it’s additive free.

NOM 1502 | Nose: Agave kissed with round sweet oak. Cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and leather. Whipped cream tinged with sweet orange liqueur and dusted with powdered sugar. Flavors: Cinnamon, mellow white pepper heat, caramel and filbert nuttiness. Vanilla follows the nose, with the addition of almonds and lush tropical fruit. Medium body. The añejo is a far better expression than its younger siblings. Finish: Not as complex a tequila as you will find in their new Roble Fino line. But a pleasant sip indeed.

NOM 1502 | Mmmmmm this is delicious, lures you in with a butterscotch & minty nose and doesn’t disappoint with follow through. Lots of agave left with delicate barrel influence, this feels like it still has the personality of the brand and not the barrel. A well made product.

NOM 1454 | The aroma is super oak heavy with a hint of mint. The flavor too is extremely oak heavy and slightly metallic... Not my favorite combo of flavors. The finish is long and builds nicely. This might be a good Anejo for someone who is more of a fan of barrel heavy tequila (potentially whiskey drinkers?). For me, it's too much barrel and overpowers everything else.

Very front of mouth. Complex flavor. Not particularly smooth.

NOM 1502 | This is a very solid choice for an añejo. On the nose I got white pepper, agave, whiskey, barrel spice, herbs, and a slight hint of cheese. On the tongue, it is a nice and savory tequila with notes of white pepper, agave, herbs, and barrel spice. It coats the mouth well, is easy to drink, and has a medium finish to it. Goes very well in a Oaxacan old fashioned. Salud!

Caramel and oak on the nose, but with a slight medicinal quality. Caramel and vanilla on the palette, but it’s not overly sweet. There’s actually a nice, peppery bite to it that lingers just long enough. I don’t normally go for anejos, but this was enjoyable. A good choice to cap off a nice dinner.

excellent for a Bourbon convert, lots of leather vanilla and dried cherry, tobacco, very light agave, $50 for anejo that stands up to much higher priced spirits

NOM 1502 | Lot: Tr… -106-LA, bottled aprox. 2018~2019. Color: yellow. Aroma: Vanilla, minerality, light wood spices, soft. Palate: sweetness from vanilla & wood spiciness at the beginning, although it has the additive free seal, I feel that there is something unnatural… mouthfeel consistency is too "thick". Sort of confirmed on the finish which is pronounced on alcohol sensation & finishes slightly bitter but not cloying.

Great looking, classy bottle, premium price...Either the craftsmanship will shine through...or it's all marketing.
