Rated blind. Has a chocolate aroma to it. Also in the flavor, but with a cinnamon spice added to it. Medium oily mouth feel.

35% Mexican release. $222 pesos. Nose: Not a huge nose, but pleasant fruit and agave. Flavor: Agave, anise, baking spices, toffee and moderate pepper heat. A simple, honest bargain offering.

Aged in Oak barrels and the flavor shows. Taste the best with some ice melted to dull the oak bite

LOTE ER11084T10. Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: cooked agave, black pepper, light vanilla, light wood note, a touch of citrus, slightly bitter, good sweet sour & citrus balance. Orange. Alcohol sensation is medium low. Fresh. Palate: citrus, good sweet sour and citrus balance, slightly bitter, light vanilla & wood note, black pepper, thick mouthfeel, light orange note & light cooked agave note at the end. Finish is medium to medium long, light vanilla, orange, cooked agave, and light bitterness persist.

Initial floral and strong agave aromas. Nice rich barrel flavours with less alcohol than anticipated. Nice bargain tequila. Although I sipped it, it is likely good in drinks too.

Tequila 30-30 Reposado improves upon the blanco and is a pleasant sipper with an old school profile like Siete Leguas. Priced at $50 (Sip Tequila), I feel this is a little too high to suggest this is a budget value pick. Nose: Lovely cooked agave, light oakeyiness, toasted bread, cinnamon and butter. Taste: Medium viscosity, buttery mouthfeel and a warm hug of pepper and cinnamon. Finish: Medium finish of cinnamon and tappering of cooked agave.

Very good stuff. A bargain in Nova Scotia at $39.00 CDN. Oak and cinnamon and chocolate. Very very cinnamony (distinctively so). Guessing cinnamon added but it is nice. Many repos show cinnamon but this moreso. Strong agave and mild vanilla. Some citrus. Decent finish. A delish repo. I liked it! The 40% version. An all evening sipper fo sho. This is good camping/campfire tequila. Day 2. Bumping this one down a touch from an 88 to an 82. It is delish. But cannot help to think the result of added cinnamon. Also some alcohol burn. Difficult to give it same rating as say an un-bastardized Siempre or other premium blanco. Again though - very tasty repo and a fantastic value. After a week bumping this one down again to an 80. The empty glass test - not huge forward agave after 10 minutes with an empty glass. Aroma of chocolate and caramel. I prefer more forward agaves.

This is the 35% alcohol version in Mexico that was on special for $233 for a liter. Aroma of agave, cinnamon and a hint of alcohol. Flavor has a hint of agave and anise. Medium length finish. Pleasant enough for the price.

Review #141 - 30-30 Tequila Reposado

A nice value sipper. A good reposado combination of agave and aging for around $20. Very nice juice for the money.
