Light smoke and nuts on the nose. Caramel. A little more alcohol than ideal. Tastes like red hots cinnamon candy with a bit of cocoa perhaps. Has a long finish that causes some mouth numbness. Hot and spicy. A bit of an unusual Carmel popcorn/medicinal vibe at the end. Overall, not at all bad - especially for the price.

Nose is better than blanco, more pleasant sweet notes. Flavor wise is low quality. Amazed how I remember this bottle from family parties.

I like this repo, not sure why it is receiving such low reviews. Great value. Bought a 1.75 bottle for $49.99 in NH, high marks for value. Well made, nice flavor profile

One of the first tequilas I reviewed. Smoke, agave, and alcohol are the staple on this nose and flavor tequila

The oak softens the aftertaste some but I’m still not catching any of the flavours I value in tequila.

Nose: Some caramel, but with an accompanying odd note to the caramel. Some traces of the astringent note that I found in the blanco. Just a strange stale undertone. Flavor has a bitter cloying sweetness.

Very pale in color this reposado is quite spicy both in the mouth and after swallowing. I like this in small doses, but prefer a different profile for a daily sipper.

Aroma of agave, pepper and alcohol Flavors of agave and spice overwhelmed by the ever present alcohol. I wanted to like this one, but it did not work for me.

Tolerable. Won't be stocking it at home. Wouldn't feel bad throwing a lime or ice in it.

Slight aroma of dirt but strong smell of rubber/plastic is not good. Flavor is peppery but thin and I pick up that plastic/rubbery aroma in the flavor. Finish is short and sweet...literally.

Good mello agave, vanilla aroma Taste hint agave, thin/medium mouth feel. Vanilla, cinnamon and peppery on the finish. Finish on the short end. Not bad tequila. Not great.

Simple reposado. Get some cooked agave and alcohol but not a whole lot more on the nose. Thin on the mouth and cooked agave and pepper on the finish.

mild to no aromas, only slight agave and butterscotch on the nose. same goes on the palate, very mild, slight agave and toffee notes. finish is smooth and decent but with such mild flavors, nothing there to really enjoy. overall, spend the extra $10 and get a way more flavorful repo.

LOTE 9131105, marbete is from 2007, tasted on 9-29-23. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: light vanilla, it has an unnatural sweetness although subtle but is present, light black pepper, slightly herbaceous. Palate: slightly herbaceous, starts with then unnatural sweetness but becomes slightly bitter, vanilla. Finish is medium, light vanilla and herbaceous sensation persists.

I’m not a fan of colored bottles (e.g., Milagro) because I want to see the amber from ageing. This repo has a nice feel on the nose and palate. Nose is light wood and agave. The palate has a nice buttery velvet feel. Slight wood, but mellow and smoother than I was expecting. This has better feel and character than, for example, Patron añejo.

Yellow orange in color. Long legs with medium width. Acetone, white pepper, leather, caramel on nose. Vegetal, cooked agave, astringent on palate. Butterscotch and anise on the finish.
