I recall thinking very highly of this once upon a time, clearly my feelings evolved when I realized Turtle didn’t actually own this(or exist). It’s ok, I feel like it’s made for the sole purpose of not making gringos gag and while it has a smoothness I can appreciate I just don’t get any real agave.

Bright nose: floral and a little perfume like. Flavor comes in sugary sweet. Some nice anise notes though. Just too sweet with not a whole lot else.

Nondescript nose, some agave and alcohol but little else. Decent entry, nice peppery heat, but finish is off, turning to bitter chlorophyll note. Middle of the road stuff.

Aroma of limestone and green agave, but mostly smells and tastes like an average tequila.

Raw agave and spice notes with short finish but better than Casamigos made at the same distillery.

Lots of grapefruit, fairly clean, not syrupy

Light in the nose as well as the palate, and dry. Put a lime on the side of the glass so there's something for the nose. Goes down easy, so keep track before you've polished off half the bottle.

Aroma of agave and butter. Nice peppery agave flavor with a little bite but definitely a smooth sipper. Fairly weak on the finish.

A lot of negative press on this one but, I’m enjoying the heck out of it. Nose has the cooked agave, pepper and citrus as advertised. What’s wrong with that, taste wise, in the same order, cooked agave, pepper and citrus, with a moderate hit of alcohol. Small burn on the end, enjoyed it.

Okay. Definitely not top shelf tequila. But I only paid $24.00 so I can not complain. light spice and fruit mix. Harsh finish though. Would make a good mixing tequila.

Can tequila go bad? My bottle had a very odd almost metallic taste... like something not good was added. There goes 50 bucks.

I get some earth, agave, alcohol is an ok tequila and I think it will make great cocktails.

Aroma is fair, sweet with hints of pineapple and citrus. Flavor, very mild cooked agave and black pepper. It had a harsh finish, definitely not a premium Tequila but is ok.

Not so good. Not bad either. Agave flavor is ok but nothing else’s going on.... except for the harsh finish.

I'm a little biased against "celebrity" endorsed spirits, but I wanted to give it a try. I initially sipped it neat. has a little bit of a burn with no discerning notes of agave or sweetness. found it to be aggressive and would only use to mix in cocktails. Also found to be overpriced I don't think this is premium Tequila it is comparable to Espolon.
