Not agave forward. Has a ton of oak and butterscotch. Reminds me of maple syrup

This really profiles like bourbon, minus the spice. Really not a lot of agave to be found, but it’s pleasant in its own right.

flan and Worthers candies with some agave sneakingin - lots of alcohol similar to other expressions. Caramel and cooked agave. A little thin and surprisingly weak finish. Not bad, just unremarkable.

At Señor Tequila. Sweet agave, peppery, earth, wood flavor, honey. Palate : alcohol, oak, agave, honey. Finish is short with some heat . $24 neat is on the expensive side therefore lower score

Older first issue bottle from 2010/11. Oak and caramel on the palate, this añejo resembles several other 1472 products mainly the Dos Manos 100% products. Fairly simple profile.

Great bottle; but my advice is not to open it. This may have been a defective bottle. Heavy alcohol nose and flavor and quite bitter.

I'm not sure what happens to this tequila going from a repo to an a?ejo. It changes completely as if it is a different tequila

Interesting flavor for an anejo. Plain flavor profile with strong alcohol notes. Very good hang time under the gums. Has lot of potential but just doesn’t do anything. Scent is plain, almost water after the first sip. Exciting bottle, lackluster contents.

I detect a little banana, and it does have a little bit of alcohol, but very subtle. Very tasty and drinkable.

Nose: Woody, subtle caramel. Flavour: Very woody, but flat for an anejo, bit of citrus.

I’m surprised at the low panel ratings. This is a very cool tequila that is marketed exceptionally well. A freshly cracked bottle is very pleasant on the nares with obvious hints of vanilla and caramel (or at least what I found). There is a wee bit of alcohol within the aftertaste, which does inhibit the overall take on the senses. I can hit the tobacco on the aftertaste, but not within the bouquet. Finish could be better. Not one of my faves, but would never say no to a glass. Overall, I think it’s a great tequila to play around with for someone trying to find their way into the game.
