Had neat at Picante $10/neat. Aroma; cooked agave, pepper, vanilla, earth, spearmint and little alcohol. Flavor/palate; agave, alcohol, vanilla, yeast, earth, flowers and citrus. Good tequila and maybe a sipper here and there, but not a favorite. Finish is short but clean.

Pretty harsh - makes you say, "Kah!!" ????

I got a lot of "greenness" in this, especially mint in the nose. Initial taste was sharper and more medicinal than I was expecting, but it (and I) mellowed and I got more sweetness as I sipped and taste buds warmed up.

A nice blanco, easily sippable. The reviews here seems to me unreasonably low. Perhaps the biggest complaint I would have of this is the price. It's a bit too high for what you get; but you are paying for the bottle. I guess the other issue I have with this is that the nose has quite a bit of alcohol up front, more so than most blancos I have tried. But this is a solid blanco, even if I prefer their anejo.

Good to mix a drink. We don't care as much for blancos but really it's not bad. Smoother than we thought it would be.

A pleasant surprise. I was expecting fire and brimstone and got a well balanced blanco of baked agave, black pepper and honey. Medium body and finish. A fantastic bottle with a solid tequila.

Very smooth sipping tequila. Had a shot at the Worm on the River Walk in San Antonio, TX.

First impression The Blanco smells and tastes like kerosene. I do believe this will change.

The "Day of the dead" skull shaped bottle made me think twice. Not because I'm afraid of what may be inside it, but because it looked like slick marketing to drive sales on cheap teq. Turns out the stuff ain't bad but for the price you can do better. MUCH BETTER. Save this stuff for gifting tequila at parties.

l love Kah blanco. A bit of sweet and a bit of heat, just the way I like my tequila!

Aroma of agave, mint and mild vanilla. Flavor is pretty watered down on initial taste then gains heat and pepper on front and back of tongue. Warm peppery finish lingers on the tongue at the front and back. Something out of the ordinary here (not really in a good way). Definitely not your typical blanco. The packaging (especially in the early bottles with the clear bottoms and much more hand painted appearance) is impressive.

Very smooth finish, harsh smell at first but easy to drink, sweet smell at finish. $50 a bit overpriced but quality none the less

Kah is known less for its flavor and more for its wonderfully designed bottles. This reputation does not come without some merit, as my experience with Kah Blanco was lackluster. The aroma was very light, almost unnoticeable at first. I spent more time trying to figure out what I was smelling than anything else, and I realized it was the alcohol content. I would get a little sweetness, and then my nose would burn. No great aroma of agave or sugars, no vanilla or spices as some generous reviewers have noted. Kah smelled like rubbing alcohol and I was trying so hard to call it something it wasn't. Oh well, onto the tasting. I sipped from my glass and as first the flavor washed over my tongue. Good first impression, for about a second I had a whole menagerie of impressions. A peppery taste laden with subtle hints of vanilla and agave. However that moment left as quickly as it came, and resolved with a persistent burn that is wholly unpleasant. I would recommend the blanco for mixed drinks if you like them strong, or for a quirky counter piece to start a conversation. Otherwise your money is better spent invested in something else. Sorry kah, you just didn't meet the hype.

Intersting blanco. First taste in 2010 was impressive. has lost its luster a bit since production has ramped up.Has a bit of yeast in the mouthfeel.

Review #104 - KAH Tequila Blanco

My last review on the KAH line. I should note that this is in the newer ceramic bottle and not the older painted glass one.

Kah tequila has gotten a lot of attention for its seriously cool skull-shaped Day of the Dead bottles, but what about the juice?
