This is nice. Love the nice viscous mouthfeel with agave, hay, and pitted fruit. This is very nice.

Aroma: herbal, earthy, soil, pine, woody Flavor: earthy, cooked agave, honey, black pepper Really good reposado although somewhat subtle in terms of flavor. The only reason I didn’t give it a higher score was due to price of high 200 range

Delicious! The aroma on this is friggen amazing. Creamy mouth and tasty as well. Nice middle ground of barrel impact—just a touch of sweet and wood balanced against the high proof agave, more than Lagrimas and some others but not too much. Pricey though.

Thanks Doc Bollinger!! Such an awesome tasting pre BAT! First Amor y Perros from the QDJ bar and then this absolute gem bought today in Tlaquepaque. Great bite on entry from the 45% ABV, this speaks to me from nose through finish. Interesting production process as have several other recent releases.

this tequila is a blend of three expressions - cascahuin blanco, tahona blanco and plata 48, rested in American white oak barrels for 190 days and blended this is a very well-balanced, easy sipper nose: vanilla, orange, barrel spices, tropical fruit (? banana?), mild pepper palate: agave, vanilla, banana? mild pepper finish: medium with no bite but a nice warmth mouthfeel: silky 2900 pesos in Mexico (about 175 USD). i would have rated it higher if the cost was lower

Light spice and citrus notes, faint barrel notes on this one. Well made and tasty. Light undertone of cooked agave with a touch of cinnamon.

Pre swirl aromas: Minerals, cinnamon, powdered nutmeg, anise and almond/vanilla. A brief waft of juicy fruit gum, followed up with tropical fruit, green melon and tangerine zest. Post swirl aromas: More pronounced spice and fruit emerge. For now, only a mere suggestion of the 190 days of barreling. Spiciness with a clean, slightly acidic tanginess layers a soft roundness to the aroma. A touch of maple? Flavor: Kicky cinnamon, clove and pepper - juxtaposed aside a velvety, buttery palate sensation. Faint toasted nuttiness. Caramel, coffee, and toffee notes. Big sweet fruit and agave punching through, much like you’d expect in a Cascahuin overproof blanco. The barrel adding a veneer of warmth. Fresh. SVD has creaminess with a kiss of salinity that I find irresistible.

An elegant tequila reposado with layers of complexity. This repo shows true mastery and patience from the team at Cascahuin. Fully formed and exceptional. If you can find it, buy it and share it with friends! Salud

Aromas of dried fruit, such as apricot, vanilla and honey barrel notes in the mouth, and a lingering finish. Some minerality but a nice oily mouthfeel. Love that the barrel enhances the 3 blancos that were blended without overpowering them.

Everything I love about Cascahuin blancos with benefits! Aromas of cooked agave, black pepper, orange citrus, and vanilla. On the palate I get cinnamon, a little oak bitterness, anise, and citrus. A really special Reposado.

One of the best blends I’ve ever had and it’s just crazy how bad I want to give 1123 my money lol

Apple cider and Fruity on aromas waft off thus. Smells sweet, and slight acetone. Tastes much bolder than it smells. Nice cinnamon and pepper, almost jalapeño that has an extremely long finish deepening in your chest. Very nice repo from 1123!

The nose on this is incredible. Cooked agave, cinnamon, a hint of floral. Taste does not disappoint. Pepper, oak, cinnamon, and vanilla. After the third sip the aromas remain strong! May be tough to find but pick it up if you see it.

3/15/24 Thank you, Drew & Keith at Southern Spirits!!! One of my favorite brands here; Citrus, apricot & pepper on the nose; Agave, honey, slight vanilla across the front; Oily, mineral, slight vanilla & burn on the backend; VERY EXPENSIVE at $230USD, but I expect to pay big money for limited bottles, especially a commemorative anniversary bottle. Grateful to be able to afford & thankful for my retail friends.

Not overly unprecedented that blending three amazing blancos led to an amazing repo.

This is probably one of the worst special releases from Cascahuin. It's good, but not worth what you're going to spend for it. 87/100

Good, but not mind blowing as expected, unfortunately. Wild Common and Lagrimas Reposado’s are a step above this. I’m usually partial to 1123 but this is not really to the level of a limited edition we expect from the best tequila distillery in the World. Nose, palate and finish are nice but not outstanding. The bar is so high for Chava it’s hard to raise the bar every year.

This just wasn’t doing it for me, the nose was flat. Some minerality and maybe some slight citrus fruits The palate: had a great buttery mouth feel and that was about it, wasn’t very agave forward the same notes from the nose came to the palate. I got mostly black pepper, minerality and some citrus on the back end. I normally get a nice pop of cooked agave on chavas stuff and it wasn’t here on this one The finish was flat and quick, didn’t really hang around to long. Overall: this is a good tequila but doesn’t compare to what they did with brix, and coming in at 170+ msrp makes it even worse. I would pick up lagrimas Repo over this. And I’m confident if I blinded this with other well made repos at half the price it wouldn’t do well.

Really great Reposado, finish was a little lacking for me, wanted a bit more POP especially when price is factored in here… this release missed the mark

View: pale gold, straw. Freshly served aroma: Notes of vanilla, low herbaceousness, minerals, light lemon peel, perhaps a little “Lemon Grass”, sweet red fruits like a mix of blueberry and fresh raspberries, barrel, white chocolate. Freshly served flavor: citrus, corresponding to lemon zest and “Lemon Grass”, vanilla and slightly astringent wood, mineralized, slightly salty. In the first notes the alcohol level of 45º is not felt, and I am inclined to rate it with an 87. I let it oxygenate and try again 15 minutes later. Aroma: pineapple, black pepper and banana. The aroma of the barrel opens up and is more present, but not overwhelming. Yellow plum. The alcohol is more present but not unpleasant. Copper and more present minerals. More present flavor of wood and the flavor behind pineapple. Citrus fruits present, lemon zest, sweetness of cooked agave, light notes of vanilla. After 20 minutes I decide to rate it an 88.

Not at all overrated. Fantastic mix of green vegetal notes, spices, and hints of sweetness from both agave and barrel. Kudos.
