Yowza! Is great when bottle is first cracked but once it opens up, woof! Like most other high proofs (but not all) tge little extra just opens up the aromas and flavors. It's truly next level compared to the regular blanco but still has its own character. Pepper, Jalapeño, herbs, agave, light fruits. It's a masterpiece!

amazing with, lots of pepper (almost chili pepper), butter, sweet cooked agave, honey, light anise, some fruit, citrus, floral, cinnamin, and more ... absolutely stunning high-proof Blanco. So clean and fresh with minerals.

Delicious, high proof. Put this in any cocktail or sip alone. Felipe always delivers value and flavor

G4 108 Nose: AGAVE BOMB. As soon as i started pouring it into my Riedel glass, I could smell it. Definitely some ethanol, but not as potent as you’d expect from a 54% unaged spirit. Minerals, a touch earthy, and a fleeting hint of cinnamon. Palate: Agave, front and center. First taste is just all cooked agave for me. Doesn’t burn like you’d think, though some ethanol is there. Very warming and delicious. Second tasting, getting pepper very clearly. Citrus comes through, more lemon than orange. A slight black olive note that quickly fades. Agave really is the star here. Verdict: Hot DAMN this is so amazing. Felipe knows his blancos, this blows standard G4 out of the water, and that’s saying something because that is an exquisite blanco. Felipe Camarena, you beautiful genius, this is a high proof blanco that will be on my shelf forever. The only reason I might give Tapatio 110 the edge is because they’re roughly on par price wise, but Tapatio is 1L. If I take value out of the equation though…G4 is one of the best blancos I’ve ever had, I’ll just say that.

I've had the 110 proof prototype which was phenomenal. This one comes very close and most who've tried both probably couldn't tell. This is proof that HP blancos dont translate into heat on the tongue. This is a case where the higher proof opens up the best the agave has to offer if cooked right. Plenty of warm agave going in followed by minerals, wet cement, beautifully oily, with some Bazooka Joe, mint, pear, apple, cinnamon. Nice tingly linger to stay in your memory... Grab one without hesitation as these are harder to come by now. For under 60 bucks, this a damn deal!

Clean and lovely legs and tears. The aroma is a brilliant pepper, cooked agave, and minerals which carry through to the taste with a somewhat oily mouthfeel that is nearly perfect in texture for me. Medium/long finish that ends with some black pepper and and nice heat. I tasted this one blind and was not at all surprised when it was revealed. Currently my #1 out of 1579 and, with the G4 repo being my going favorite regularly available in that expression, that's saying something for me!

Cristal Clear juice. Nose: cooked agave, thyme, smoke, mineral, tropical fruit, citrus, sage. Need to oxygenate before tasting to appreciate all the aromas. Flavor: sweet agave, pepper, olive, tropical fruit. Finish nice and long.

If the G4 Blanco 80 proof is all cooked agave, grass, and black pepper; this is all cooked agave, black pepper, cinnamon, and alcoholic heat. I can see how the heat here may turn some people off since it certainly isn't as subtle as other high proofs. But there's still that classic El Pandillo minerality alongside some light fruits and citrus. Adding a few drops of water helps quell the heat if the alcohol proves to be too much. EDIT - I've let this open up a bit more and I'm getting lots of green olive too. Definitely take the extra time to let this one breathe.

Agave, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Earth, Citrus, Pineapple, Ethanol yet insanely drinkable. The flavors run deep but each is a standout.

This tequila needs to sit and open up. You also need to take your time with this, there is a lot going on with the nose, so do some exploring. This has the complexity of the G4 coming out of 1579. Nose: cooked agave, alcohol, cinnamon, wet cement after a summer rain, citrus (tangerine) vanilla, jalapeño, sweetness of grilled pineapple and peach Flavor: starts off hot, has a creamy and spicy mouth feel, cooked agave, hot cinnamon like the candy atomic fire balls, and citrus Finish: starts with sweet ripe fruit, gets spicy like green peppers, the cooked agave comes through, and finishes hot and leaves your mouth tingling Yes I would cook with this like flaming of butter sauté shrimp, scallops, or clams.

Great cooked agave smell. Of course anything this high proof will have an alcohol smell but it’s not overpowering at all. Taste was great. Nice cinnamon and baking spices taste (agave) some heat from the alcohol but with a pepper and lite citrus finish. Really good stuff.

Tasting this G4 108 and a Spring Water 110 side by side. 108 is hot at first, tip of tongue numbing. Several small sips taken over 10 minutes or so have less effect and I think we're ready to taste. Technically the single water G4 55% is not the same as the blended water G4 108. Made at the same distillery these have many similarites but also numerous differences. Mouth effect is really almost 180° with the buzz right up front on the 108 assaulting the tongue whereas the SW 110 is at the end more near the back of the throat as you swallow. Great stuff in both bottles though, no doubt.

Lots of agave, earth, pepper, cinnamon, little sweet—maybe some pineapple. Nice legs and full of flavor. For blanco lovers.

Nose: The nose needs some breathing time - you will be rewarded with subtle transitions. Opening charge brings minerals, a cellar note and rich cooked agave with undercurrents of baked pineapple. A bit later citrus blooms. Then a shift toward vegetal/herbal aromas: thyme, sage and dried oregano. Next warm “barrel-like” spices emerge: cinnamon, dried ginger, vanilla and star anise. And the agave takes on a more caramel like aroma, complementing everything that has come before it. Flavor: Somewhat creamy in the mouth. Yet with a blast of heat: black pepper, spicy cardamom, and cinnamon red hots, that sends some fire to the back palate. The herbal notes retreat somewhat, leaving the lively spices dancing on my tongue. Finish: Trace bitterness. Light colored fruit, pineapple and agave hangin’ on for the ride. Be forewarned, it finishes a little hot.

Fresh crack Nose: alcohol, raw agave, citrus, pepper, mineral/earthy. Palate: front kick to the mouth, I love it! You feel the alcohol right out of the jump and strong agave flavors! Followed by citrus, mineral, pepper, and vegetal. Finish: strong flavors but alcohol don’t last too long! Overall, not for everyone if you don’t like high proof blancos! But great if you are a fan! Bout in Denver for $40

Wow- this really pops. The aroma is amazing with agave, pepper, alcohol, and some minerals in a bucket made of earth…quality. On the palate- whew- I about flipped out my chair it was so good. Agave forward with a peppery alcohol punch that turns into licking a mineral block off of a dirt road that had rains of wet agave on it an hour before. Finish is velvety with agave continuing with white pepper- anise- vegetal and it lingers the perfect amount of time…agave wetness remains even after a few minutes with very slight numbing.

LOT: 3B54 (22/07/22) This review was done blind with: Siembra Valles Ancestral y Volans - Still Strength View: excellent tears that cling to the glass, corresponding to a 50º+ distillate. Completely transparent. Freshly served; Aroma: Spicy, black pepper, mineral, herbal, it is not as expressive as I would like in aroma for a distillate of this alcohol content. Flavor: Cooked agave, sweetness, mineral and a little salty. It's not bad but I definitely expected more. A little disappointing. I let it oxygenate and rest for 25 minutes to allow the aromas and flavors to open up and give it another chance. Aroma: It has opened a little and is much more expressive, very mineral, like copper, herbal, black pepper, sweet, much more pleasant than at the beginning, the opening helped it a lot (30 minutes so far) Taste: a very interesting flavor, it changed a lot, it seems totally like another tequila. Sweet at first, cooked agave, with a light herbal profile, slightly lemon tea, and an astringency in the aftertaste also like lemon and a little orange. It is a tequila with a lot of alcohol and therefore it must be allowed to open and express itself, I recommend at least 20 minutes.

Nose- cooked agave, parmigiano, vanilla, mineral, very complex…I keep going back and finding more. Palate- nice viscosity, white pepper, vanilla, caramel, mineral, jalepeno. Finish- medium-long, more sweetness comes out. One of my very fav (maybe overall fav) high proof blancos. Just lovely

Immediately get the pepper and agave smell right off the bat. It’s nice when it first hits the tongue, but there’s an after taste I can’t quite put my finger on that I’m not sure if I find pleasant.
