An elegant Añejo. Many times an añejo will be too okay, too sweet and whiskey like. This añejo is very earthy to me which is amazing. It’s a sweetheart earthy, mineral flavor for me.

Light in style, I like the little touch of sweetness and cooked agave. This one is a nice sipper.

En nariz: Roble, vainilla, miel, butterscotch, cerveza, sidra En boca se confirman deliciosamente los aromas, resaltando la fresca e intensa cereza.

Atanasio Anejo I smell cooked agave, light honey and dark brown sugar along with a floral note. I taste the sweet cooked agave and then some allspice with the cinnamon punching through. I then get a light American whiskey note ( oak barrel and whiskey ). The body is nice and the finish is pleasant but light. This is a good balanced Anejo where you can enjoy the age and agave equally. Well done Atanasio. Salud!

Lots of Berries and oak stand out on this one. Very enjoyable sipper

Bottle 92, Lote 1 Nose: Ripe berries, melon and a suggestion of hard cider. Cinnamon, and an aromatic blend of allspice, powdered ginger and nutmeg. Background aromas of butterscotch, vanilla and caramel. This is all held together with an oak presence that does not overwhelm the agave. Flavors: Vibrant and vivacious profile. Caramel with assertive pepper and cinnamon. Yet sits nicely on the palate with silky fruit notes of cantaloupe drizzled with honey. Finish: There is butterscotch retrohale, with pepper and light salinity. This loses some points on price point. It is nearly double the price of the repo. But a fine tequila, none the less.

Out of all the Anejo's I have, this is one of top contenders. Honestly, I have not found many that are better. Only a few top Anejos that fit me. This is one. Even better... I found it for $75. It fits my pallet. Complex nose and taste Beautifully bright. One the nose.. agave, floral, caramel, vanilla, honey. It is everything I love in an Anejo. No harsh ethanol . Burst of beautiful agave, barrel and all of the nose on the tongue. It covers your pallet. Finish is full and long. Viscous and oily. Your finished glass never lies. Always smell your dried up glass. It will reveal the real complexity and work that went into your tequila. I highly recommend.

The oak notes hit first - kind of dry with tannins but not too dry. The nose is nice, with a bit of the barrel still present. Oak continues to the finish, where agave notes finally show up. An interesting and enjoyable anejo though.

Hot tamale nose (cinnamon) and finish. Quality product

Nice aromas of subtle agave, honey and vanilla. Similar flavours but slightly more pronounced. The finish is incredibly smooth; one of the absolute best. Easily one of my new favs!

Brown sugar aroma. Smooth flavour, kinda peppery but I was also eating tacos so it could have been that.

Batch No. A001/20, bottled in 2020. Color: yellow. Aroma: sweet cooked agave, slightly acidic, wet earth, minty, 30 minutes in the glass the agave sweetness becomes very intense! Almost no vanilla nor wood notes on the nose, which is rare for an añejo. Buttery. Palate: sweet cooked agave, minty, fresh & crisp, good sweet & sour balance, sweet yam. Finish is medium to long, sweet cooked agave lingers!

Batch no. A001/20/ Bottle no. 601/ Purchased Jul/2022 Nose and flavor: vanilla popsicle with hints of wood scent. Finish: light briny-ness appears not isn’t persistent. Little hints of green tomatoe and vanilla persists. Well balanced on nose, taste and finish.

Very smooth, subtle smoke and sweetness.

Great oak and agave base - with nice lingering finish. Some cinnamon and citrus with bit of vanilla. Very nice and liking it more the more I sip.

Nose: Agave Caramel Vanilla Cinnamon Flavor: Oak Pepper Cinnamon Getting agave and pepper on the finish.

Overhyped for my pállate at least.. it has great aroma sits good in your mouth but as it goes down it burns .. I May try it again as I had it going against reserva de la familia añejo and extra añejo tasting the race was not fair. The price is overpriced for my taste..

Such a balance between complex agave and smooth aroma and flavours. A must try.

Wood and weet agave on nose and palate. This is one of the best añejos I have tested. Slight and enjoyable burn. Agave dulce y madera en nariz y paladar. Este es uno de los mejores añejos que he probado. Un ligero ardor que se disfruta y complementa el sabor.

This is an Añejo I can get behind! Beautifully balanced, touch of spice and heat. Great strong long finish.
