I found this disappointing AF. I expected much better, but the diffuser juice with additives was blatant.

Nose and flavour are really heavy on barrel influence and light on agave, not the profile I’m looking for. Cardamom and orange make me think this might be a great holiday sipper, it’s really light and wouldn’t take much to bully off your taste buds.

Nose: Some nut notes, fruit, agave and the usual barrel spices including vanilla. Palate: Spicy fruit, some pepper and floral notes are evident. An oily, super sweetness is present. Finish is somewhat cloying in sweetness. An odd element that I can’t quite identify mingles with the pepper and oak finish. It is not inviting me to have a second glass...

Aromas of green agave, heavy caramel and vanilla. Rich mouthfeel, and toasted caramel flavors. Too heavy handed in both aging and wood flavors for a repo in my opinion. Suspect heavy barrel additives and glycerin.

Nothing spectacular. Some will like this for a lack of alcohol on entry. Some oak and agave along with barrel spice from the blend of American oak and French oak aged tequilas. Mexico only for this bottle and package. Bought this in Cabo San Lucas.

Rated blind. I suspect there might be a touch of additives here. For the price, I would expect better than that.

nose: smoke, caramel, butterscotch, orange palate: Very sweet with orange caramel notes with hints of smoke and agave finish: sweet vanilla caramel Similar to a port. Definitely forgot i was drinking tequila. Maybe drinkable with desert.

Lote: L00217, bottled on 31-03-2017. Color: medium to dark yellow. Aroma: sweet intense vanilla, earthy, alcohol sensation is low, light black pepper, 20 minutes in the glass cooked agave notes appear, dirt. Palate: sweet vanilla, light wood notes, a touch of pepper spiciness, I can barely notice agave notes. Finish is medium to long, sweet vanilla with light wood notes persist.

it's sipable if nothing else is available. On the thin side with little agave and overwhelming vanilla. Not a great price points for what it is.

Orange everywhere - nose, palate, finish. Too much and artificial

color & body - medio cuerpo, color caramel aroma additives sweet: vanilla, caramel taste vanilla, caramel pastoso finish ~70' personal huele sospechoso: no a fuerte alcohol, pero sí a endulzantes artificiales

OMG !! I finally decided to open up my reposado from Reserva de la familia and all I can say is: smooth as expected the second or third best tequila I have tasted (top is the extra añejo). Recommend a must have to sip and enjoy with good company

Caramel, vanilla and agave nose. Nice oak and caramel palate. Very short, but nice sweet finish

Aroma is medium bodied with a hint of caramel. Balanced mouth feel. Relatively smooth flavor with a slightly sweet and mildly spicy finish. Flavor is not robust or bold enough to be memorable. Aftertaste lingers just a tad on the harsh side. Not a bad Reposado, but overpriced.

Earthy nose… Sandalwood, oak, grapefruit. Oak influence flavors of caramel and vanilla. Hints of honey butter. Little lime or agave. OK…. Much better options than this given it’s price.

I just finished the last few ounces of Clase Azul Repo, and La Familia Extra anejo is one of my top 2 favorite sipping tequilas. I figured this reposado would be on par with the Clase Azul Repo. Nope. Next time, I’m splurging on the extra anejo.

A hint of oak to the nose but no real bouquet. Dark amber color. Starts strong on the palate, slightly metallic. Lacks body and character. Goes down smoothly but has a flat finish.

Grabbed this to round out all 3 Reserva de la familias. The XA RDLF is a home run, but this wasn't bad for a repo. Definitely not a G4 or Fortaleza repo, but this was actually pretty good.

Lots of sweet butter and a backdrop of caramel. Not bad. My favorite of the reserva de familia line.
