Gotta say they fucked up adding that Blanco to oak, sometimes things just aren’t broken. The oak does improve the finish, rounds things out nicely. Overall I’m a fan of this brand, I hope they mellow out the repo in the future.

Aroma: Light colored fruit, a waft of smoke and black pepper, and light vanilla. Pretty timid aromas. Flavor: Faint smokey/umami flavor with some barrel spices, pepper and a vegetal note. A hint of caramel. Some viscosity. There is an odd sweetness that leaves bitterness on the base of the tongue. Finish: Short, simple and somewhat astringent. The Blanco is a better bet.

Chemical and tutti fruity nose. Not much to the flavor and thin body.

Has a strong chemical element to the aroma for me. I suspect there is diffuser tequila in here somewhere. Not to my liking.

Aroma: butterscotch, toffee, earth, and toasted agave. Simple but inviting nose leans sweet while maintaining some balance. Flavor: butter, mint, and caramel lead the way. Agave is secondary but still there. Finish: like most of this pour, pleasing overall but not memorable. A touch of heat lingers after sipping.

Tall transparent glass square bottle with golden steel twist cap, 1 liter, 38% abv. Marbete is year 2003. White front label, no rear label. Color: light yellow. Nose: clean cooked agave, slightly briny, mineral, floral aromas, citrus + bitter aroma like a grapefruit. Palate: fresh, lively, good sweet & sour balance, thick mouthfeel, citrus, sweet cooked agave, a touch of vanilla. Pepper spiciness. Finish is medium to long, sweet cooked agave, pepper spice, slightly briny and slightly bitterness makes the finish balanced, prolonged & interesting!

Very smooth for a reposado. I do agree with some of these comments, the flavor is a little too fruity for my liking but overall it’s a good tequila. I purchased this in México so the price was pretty good.

Fresh fruity dates crisp refreshing green grape leaves antiseptic numbing great value. Although I believe I purchased a bottle no longer in production (label represents Logo and not bottle represented by picture, twist cap bartender pour spout).

I had tasted the Blanco at the NW Tequila Fest and liked it so I was curious about this. The flavor is not overly oak so still maintains nice hints of agave and spice. Medium length smooth finish.
