$55 in San Francisco Aroma: 21 Low ethanol. A sweet lemon agave with fruity undertones. Mixed in is some herbal spice but fairly gently added. Nose is lighter than I would have expected. Palate: 26 Really good heft to the mouth feel and presence. Coats my tongue well. Up front is a really nice sweet lemon agave note with vanilla soon following. Floral elements of lavender and rose in the mid palate with pitted fruit. As it settles into the mid and back palate, the spice really kicks in with black tea and pepper. Finish: 22 Good length and plenty of lasting flavor. Value: 7 $55 for a bottle which is a solid value to get a entry level repo pour for a fantastic brand and distillery Side note: Highly recommend investing in a $10 handheld milk frother. It speeds up the aeration process significantly and really opens the tequila up.
this is the rating for the 42 ABV Reposado
Phenomenal value repo from none other than 1123 Cascahuin. In a blind this can swing with the heavyweights, from nose to pallet. Sweet agave, spices, creamy, delicious start to finish. Great bang for your buck, worth stocking up in the $40-50s.
42% Square Bottle. Nice rich agave nose with barrel notes. Palate is alright with an odd finish
Sweet citrus, orange peel, cooked agave, light spice, very agave forward. Light barrel notes.
Tasted at a distillery tour and really enjoyed this one
Delicious and amazing value. Tres Leches cake with almonds on top. So good and balanced.
Nov 18, 2022 tasted at distillery. long day of tasting. need to revisit.
Citric aromas blended with strong cooked agave, with a pleasant minerality, and a touch of spice and herbs. Clean and slightly sweet across the palate. A great finish, a burst of agave coupled herbal/basil notes with light oak, and hints of spice and vanilla. A very nicely balanced reposado.
Light on the nose with cooked agave, Cooked agave, butter, very light pepper. Clean finish, lingering cooked agave very slight pepper then vanishes. Light in color and flavor, a nice entry to Reposado tequila.
Sweet nose with agave and raspberries alongside light baking spices. This carries over into the taste with some additional barrel notes like vanilla, oak, and nuts. The finish is long and spicy. The only thing I don't like is that the Blanco has such a great value but this doesn't (at least in the US).
Aroma of cooked agave, citrus and oak. Flavor of cooked agave and anise. Pleasant, medium finish.
This review is over a older Cascahuin small semi squared bottle from the late 90s. Nice earthy aroma with a good precede of cooked agave. A hint of vanilla and a power heat kick towards the end. Very enjoyable.
Soft, inviting nose pulls you right in with roasted agave & caramel. Builds up slowly on my palette, starts with just a bit of sweetness and builds up to a boozy kick in the ass on its way out. Perfect for novice tequila fans, just a lot to like without any fuss.
I really like this. Agave, citrus, tree bark, pepper and apple blossoms on the nose. Palate has agave, light oak, cranberries, peach and bananas with a finish of salted peanuts.
Honey, white flowers, windex
Originally sampled with Salvador and Tetsu at Distillery visit Sept 2018.
Striking nose. Agave, berries, banana, and warm spices reminiscent of cookies baking. Flavors follow nicely with vanilla, almond and pepper. Creamy anise. Lingering pepper finish with a hint of orange peel. This is a very solid economical tequila.
Older bottle from around 1998 or so. MX bottle at 38% ABV with no tax stamp. Sip it if you find it.
Aroma: agave, oak, vanilla, caramel Palate: agave, oak, vanilla, caramel Finish: is so nice and smooth
Aroma: agave & pepper, with light oak & citrus. Taste: well balanced of agave, pepper, citrus, & vanilla. Finish: not as long as I prefer but left citrus & caramel on the palate. Overall: $65 very good Repo, another great tequila from NOM 1123.
42% ABV square bottle - for $47 here in NJ. This repo is hard to beat. On the nose Cooked agave, a burst of citrus, slight oak and caramel. On the palate, cooked agave, vanilla, cinnamon, nice ground pepper, wet cement, earth. Another absolute winner out of NOM 1123.
I love all Cascahuin!!
Mild and subtle aroma. Strong spice and agave flavor. Mild finish with subtle smoke.

Nose of sweet agave and tropical fruits. I get mango and pineapple as well as banana. On the palate I get agave, pepper, fruits. A bit of vanilla and caramel. This is a nice repo and a good price. 1123 makes great tequila.
