aroma and flavor where nothing exceptional, but were not bad. aroma shows more than expected with agave, oak and some citrus spice. flavor did not have much depth, but the aroma carries through. light - medium mouth feel with a very short finish. average reposado at a very good price point

NOM 1559 | Average at best .

NOM 1559 | Was not crazy about this repo, very different nose and finish. Not my flavor profile. Would not recommend this as a sipper, perhaps as a cocktail base

NOM 1559 | Nose: Caramel, earthiness, baked agave, cinnamon and cloves. This delivered more than I expected. Flavors: Thin in the mouth. Pepper and sugary sweetness. This loses some of the subtlety of the nosing. Finish quickly fades away with no fanfare.

Agave, oak, vanilla from nose to finish

NOM 1559 | Still hot and punchy, just with some vanilla in tow. Not worthy of a place in the home collection but great for cocktails.

Rated blind. I think the marketing is better than the product. Not bad, not great, just average.

NOM 1420 | Bottle date is 2004. Caramel and oak blend with agave in this older Milagro offering. Glad for some good fitting natural corks, newer brands could learn something.

Understated flavors and aroma of agave, oak and citrus. Body a bit thin and finish a bit short. Priced right. ($28)

I rate this well because it's cheap and good.

Chemical on the nose and bitter on the palate. Still somewhat better than I expected.

Nothing special, but a good classic reposado.

This is great. Banana, butter, and smooth.

I'd rather spend my $40 on something else.

Agave still underlies the aroma but barrel characteristics of caramel and chocolate show up subtly...nice.

NOM 1559 | For $19 a liter at Costco, how can I complain? It’s not terrible and you can sip it. It’s a bit thin, and there is a prevalent alcohol aroma and flavor, but it has a bit of agave and oak character. I would buy it again at this price. Two extra points for value.

Lot of depth in the oak, very dry and you can taste history here. Barely taste the agave at all though. An acquired taste for sure, but unique and surprisingly to me worth picking up to sip.

True to description. Pretty smooth but not as good as the high end ones. Some oak and some vanilla

Very sweet smell. Vanilla with some fruity elements in there too. Alcohol on the palate with a little vanilla. Decent burn, but it’s really just alcohol. Not much of a finish either. You can do much better than this.

This doesn't have much aroma. mostly astringent alcohol. not at all smooth. the finish finally develops some citrus character, but not by much. fine for the price... maybe better mixed than sipped... because it isn't great sipped.

NOM 1559 | Overall ok. Finish has some bitterness that I don’t like.

The flavor is generically sweet and the finish is a bit harsh. It isn’t terrible but it would not be the first bottle I gravitate toward. Nor the 10th!

A little on the sweet side, but if you like that and are looking for a cheap sipping reposado, this will do. QPR is great.

Smells like fruit pie and a little wood. Vanilla, caramel flavour and not much else going on. On the sweeter side. I might recommend this to someone who likes Casamigos as a cheaper alternative.

Milagro Reposado $38USD (Virginia ABC) While I am admittedly not a fan of Milagro, the reposado is a reasonable lower tier sipper...but I find that it is priced too high. For those who like their reposados on the sweeter side, this may be for you.

Review #222 - Milagro Tequila Reposado

Milagro is a big brand that can be found anywhere. For a person in the northern US, that is a real determining factor because too often stores have 20 or fewer total tequilas, it's a bonus when you can find something good and reasonably priced.
