Finally Experienced this pricey gem last night. Agave still present, butterscotch, dried fruit, sweet leather, mocha, not over oaked at all. Light notes of the sherry cask involved, but reminiscent of a nice cognac, although no cognac Casks were used in the process. Sweetness from the French oak comes through nicely. Reminds me of the old RDLFs, just more refined. Pricey AF though. Gotta memer, you're paying for the Crystal and overall presentation. I didn't take off points for the crazy price tag. I figured it is what it is....

9/2022 cuervo 250 extra anejo this is from a bottle that was gifted to us about 10 yrs ago. not sure if it was high oressure autoclave back then caramel vanilla oak choclate. more oak as it sits the flavor gets better as it opens up.

This is one of those super duper ULTRA Premium tequilas that inhabit the upper limits of cost. Very elegant packaging in celebration of the 250th anniversary of Casa Cuervo. The tequila inside is actually very good but the cost makes it hard to recommend. Notes of sherry and smoke along with the usual barrel notes of caramel and vanilla make this rich and unforgettable.

Aroma: Has hints of Cherry, almonds, caramel, cider and oak. Flavor: It takes on strong notes of the oak but you can taste of everything in the aroma. Finish: The finish is long and seems to go on for a while. It leaves your mouth feeling very dry and lingering flavor notes in the back of your mouth. Conclusion: This is one of those tequilas you may get to only taste once in a very long time. I find the combination of flavor and finish to be very unique. Way too expensive but I definitely enjoyed every last drop.

Complex aroma includes oak, caramel, apple, and black pepper. This aroma is so intense you smell it as soon as the glasses are set on the table. Flavor is dominated by a strong oak flavor but followed by hints of every flavor noted in the aroma - caramel, apple and pepper. The finish is long, warm and very, very smooth. Also, this one is definitely in the Clayton Szczech category of "extra dry"... The oak literally dries out your entire mouth.

if it wasn't for the insane price, I would recommend this. I'm told that a 100 year old Blanco tested in glass is blended into each bottle. I work the nose on this all the time and really enjoy it, but I'm still trying to justify the price, other than the beautiful presentation.

Has a lot going on in the mouth. Hits more of the mid and back of the tongue.
