NOM 1146 | I expected this to have pink tinge to it, but it is really PINK. Nose: Vanilla, cider, mineral pungency, root cellar and thyme. Flavor starts out a little sharp but soon mellows. Some butterscotch, an almost effervescent quality, pepper and citrus. Finish: There is some bitterness and harshness on the back of my palate. Some floral notes emerge.
NOM 1146 | Quite different than the 11 month La Rosa, this is more "sharp" in flavor with some acidity as well as alcohol notes that are less evident in the 11 month. This has little of the viscosity and mouthfeel of the blanco. Pink Tequila is a novelty generally but this has some solid tequila roots though I prefer the no longer available 11 month.
Drinking this in Tombstone, AZ in a saloon...
The syrupy sweetness of the blanco aroma is gone and replaced by a much more natural floral and agave aroma with a little fresh grass and/or cucumber. BUT, the flavor is like drinking syrup again. There is a definite floral flavor at the back of the mouth and it finishes nicely with some spice to help overcome the sweetness. Subsequent sips are not as sickeningly sweet as the first and the floral aftertaste is actually nice. The finish is long and stays with you awhile.
Rosa flight at Alma in Scottsdale. Figured I would never buy a bottle, so why not try at restaurant. Pleasant floral, honey & rose wine aromas. Honey, slight vanilla & citrus flavors. No spice or pepper at all. Smooth finish.

NOM 1459 | Floral, wine taste, light, sweet, fresh, light grass
NOM 1459 | Besides for initial amusement from the pink hue, there’s simply no reason to pick up this bottom shelfer. Except, it’s not really a bottom shelfer with the 36$ price tag at my Ralph’s (SoCal). Smelling notes are nothing but alcohol and chemicals. Tasting was similarly alcoholic. It has a bit of oily-ness on the palette, and is quite light and almost watery. Finishing notes are of similar tastes, albeit more light and brief, reflecting perhaps the only redeeming aspect of this tequila experience — that it’ll be over quick. There’s really no reason to purchase a bottle. That is, unless you want a nice display piece that may come out for shots on those nights you won’t remember.
NOM 1459 | Aroma / Nose: flowers, fruity, berries, agave, hint of vanilla and alcohol. Flavor: dry fruity and flowery flavors followed by hint of agave and alcohol. Finish: medium-burning aftertaste that disappears quickly. Opinion: Since the aroma is fruity and you can see medium legs in your glass, you would expect something sweet but instead to me was dryer that expected. Unique rosé color, a bit of a burning alcohol expected from a reposado. If you buying this is because you want to try something different therefore I would say it is worth trying it but I am not sure this tequila is “asombroso” enough for me to buy it again. P.S. New bottles doesn’t come with the “famous” stopper.
Surprising raspberry tart aroma, did not change on taste and had a predictable finish.
love it love it love it! not sure why this isnt sold in liquor stores in my city which is a big city but hey im glad i found it. the whole ASOMBROSO lineup is fantastic and cheaper than stuff that costs $60 a fifth smh
NOM 1459 | Aroma in a glass is very alcohol driven, an empty glass leaves more of a floral fruity trace. Taste is ok with very light agave profile... finish burns
NOM 1146 | Subtle aromas of agave, citrus and floral notes, watermelon rind, delicate blush color, Red Hot Cinnamon candies. Touch hot on finish.
NOM 1146 | Ahhh, well I am sure there are people out here who are really into this tequila. It has to be since it’s been on the market for so long! The packaging is excellent. That was my mistake, and now it reminds me if agreeing to be a beautiful person’s friend a few years ago and now she drives you nuts with her not so beautiful personality. I even feel bad giving it to people who are just getting to know what tequila is like. Hopefully there are better uses for used Bordeaux barrels.
Very different so that's worth trying. Heavy chocolate and cherry forward flavor and with hints of rose, agave and flowers. The finish turns a touch more spicy in a floral/citrus way. I found the aroma a bit weak but that chocolate really jumps out.
NOM 1459 | yikes! would have never bought, but was given this and the Blanco as a gift, so what the hell I'd test them out and review them. little to no agave nose, sweet, sugary, liquor or cordial aroma and taste, nothing represents a respectable tequila to me, no cooked agave, no minerality, it's like a sugary simple syrup to mix with soda water.... tested on three occasions now to give the benefit of the doubt, it's undrinkable and I just can't do it :(
NOM 1146 | This tequila is very interesting. I have a bottle and it's not a tequila you would ever mix. You need to drink it straight or on the rocks. Nothing more. It's smooth but yet doesn't pack a punch if your looking for a Resposado that would have a solid tequila taste/flavor. somewhat of a novelty tequila that you want to try once, but probably not as a weekend staple. The Rosa really takes over and smooths this one out but takes the agave away....far, far away.....
tried this while at a nice restaurant with a surprisingly good selection of tequilas . nice aroma , even better taste and finish , very smooth with a nice flavor profile and a pleasant sweetness . Very good , I enjoyed it very much.
Roses, Chocolate and loads of Grenadine!! Delicious!!
Aged in Bordeaux wine casks, creating pink color. Company heavily involved in charity. Sippable, but bit of a burn so not my first choice for sipping.
Tasted at home in a Riedel glass, Nice rose color similar to White Zinfandel wine. Nose is of alcohol and agave. First sip is fresh for a second followed by a moderate burn. Once it opens up there is a slight sweetness, but overall not very enjoyable as sipper at all. D-
It's pink, with a dildo shape
Smell slight bubblegum scent Not super smooth only aged in Bordeaux barrels 3 months Try 11 month aged too Strong chocolate finish. Not really bubblegum
Lou shares his opinion of an old bottle of Asombroso Reposado from NOM 1146.
It's a phallic pink bottle...not what I usually bring home.

NOTE- this is the NOM 1146 version. Aromas of rose wine, fruit, floral, light vanilla, some chocolate. Taste comes through for the rose wine and floral notes, with some chocolate and some fruit. Actually it isn't as bad as I anticipated, not overly sweet, and no lingering sweet aftertaste. Thismay not be for everyone, but for what it is.... it was pretty tasty.
