NOM 1454 White letter label. Tried side by side with WB 2020 this has many of the aged qualities of the Fortaleza. Unique to the Fortaleza are the sour cider/beer tail end and some creaminess in the mouth but everything else is very close, aroma, barrel spice, color from aging which in both is a pale straw. The suggestion for comparison came from Khrys Maxwell and was spot on.

NOM 1502 | Nose: Muted raw oak note with barrel spice: cinnamon and mace. Light colored fruit, trace jackfruit and some caramel. Flavor: Almonds, vanilla and caramel - and some salinity. I am finding the same acrid pepper note and bitterness that was evident in the blanco. A bit watery.

Faint aromas of vanilla and agave. Viscous but leaves a little burn on the finish. Not very complex.

NOM 1454 | For all of these reviews, I taste each tequila blind, so needless to say, I was bummed when I found out that it was Partida. This sample came from a 50ml bottle that I got on a BevMo sale and is Lot PA73. So hope it was a bad lot, bad cork, etc. Sorry guys. My complaints are that there was a lot of harsh "chemically" notes on the nose and a lot of bitterness in the taste. I would lean more to this coming from NOM 1502, the new distillery that is making their tequila, rather than the original distillery 1454.

NOM 1502 | Not as good as the Blanco. A little agave, alcohol, vanilla.. lots of a bitter side oak in the finish. Decent, not amazing.

Not as good as the anejo. Some agave and nut aroma but it also had some alcohol smell. The taste did have some oak and citrus which followed into a mix of spice and oak. I like that it's additive free so if you like the flavor profile you know it's made legitimately.

NOM 1502 | NOM 1502 A poor man’s El Tesoro Reposado for just a little less in price. Got it for $30 instead of $50 so I guess you could say I broke even in this case. Wouldn’t buy at $50 but a solid repo but can find similar for half the price (Olmeca Altos comes to mind). Nose is very alcohol heavy upfront but taste doesn’t match the nose. Could have fooled me and told me it was a blended whiskey as it has heavy whiskey vibes (not mad). Finish is short lived but doesn’t offend, if the finish wasn’t so weak I would have bumped it up a few. Love it at $30, wouldn’t have touched it $50 and glad they discounted it for my enjoyment and this review. It would be in the mid 80s if it had a better finish and lower price.

Opened the bottle to get blasted with Turpentine/solvent smell. Thought maybe would mellow when poured, not the case. Tried neat, then a second with a large cube. Made no difference, the over powering smell of chemical never goes away. Unfortunately the finish is the same, never goes away. A complete disappointment at this price point, not that it's expensive. Thankfully it was only $40 lost. Gave it to college neighbors ( over 21 ) but warned them to only mix it.

Carmel, almond, sweetness in the aroma. Slight bit of cooked agave in the taste as well as some vanilla, earth and honey. The finish last a while with notes of citrus, sage and cider. I like that its additive free. It grows on you.

Partida reposado is a beautiful, full body, tequila. Earthy, buttery notes are balanced with citrus and oak. With a long lasting finish, this reposado opens up with spice and minerals with unexpected complexity.

NOM 1454 | Somewhat overpowering alcohol on the nose. Once it opened up, agave and minerals came through. On the palate is pine sap, lime zest, soap and a metallic/solvent flavor. Spearmint finish.

Has a mild sweet smell. Has a bit more alcohol bite than I like. Light sweet flavor towards the end. Not terrible, worth a try if you like to mix it up.

This tastes more like an añejo than a reposado to me. The nose is oak barrel, vanilla, and maybe bourbon. The taste left me wondering why a reposado tasted more like bourbon that tequila. I have experienced this with certain añejos but never with a reposado. There was a lack of agave and other tastes I associate with a good reposado. I may try it again for a second chance.

11 Things We Think We Know About Reposados

Until recently, we hadn’t cared much for reposado — tequila that has been aged in oak barrels from 2 to 12 months. It seems too middle-of-the-road: like blanco (no barrel aging) without the bite, añejo (aged for longer than a year) without the flavor. But
