Finally tasted it. Definitely warm agave from beginning to end. Banana pudding, apple pie, dried fruit, cinnamon, honey. Glad I finally experienced it. T1 was solid. Word has it that it might make a return.

NOM 1146 T1 Reposado Excepcional Lote: 129t1R15 (? - It's hard to read on bottle) Tasting Date: 6/16/22 My Rating: 82 Nose: baked agave, vanilla, citrus, pepper, some vegetal, Taste: agave, pepper, a little oak, some citrus Finish: sweet agave and oak not a long finish Other: based on lote, i believe this was from 2015, and it is an older bottle we've had for several yrs. great legs, thicker viscosity which I like. Let this one sit and open up for a bit

Scents of butterscotch, caramel, light melon, and pepper. Definitely pick up more subtlety like tobacco and mint the longer you nose it. Flavor is a little thin once you get past the initial burn but definite notes of agave and wood present with some date and the smallest hint of anise. Overall not unpleasant.

Love that the aging process does not overpower the agave flavor and you still get some fruity and spicy nuances. Loved the appearance of banana notes and the minimal barrel influence of nutmeg, clove and a variety of baking spices. Cool unique bottle too

Expected a little more taste after the great nose/taste of the ultra fino. Not a game changer but decent. Nose is great, flavor dies to fast.

Smells like creme brûlée, tastes like old fashioned doughnuts, what’s not to like?!? A completely unique flavour profile.

Aroma has a vegetal scent. Flavor shows green agave. Finish is a bit harsh. Great for mixing cocktails!

Oyamel Washington DC $15 champagne glass half bottle surprisingly softer nose than the blanco. almost too soft. sweet and candy like, the nose would be great for a first timer. the licorice is gone from the blanco. now it's very herbal on the tongue. sage, eucalyptus and black pepper. soft, subtle and sweet. Easy finish.

An oaky ultra fino. Flavors are very subtle.

I get more alcohol in the nose than I like and the finish lacks the pepper I like in agave harvested in the highlands. The body I like a lot. Citrus, floral notes, baked agave, pepper. A softer nose, maybe a wee bit more time in the barrel and I would be happier.

First sip is sharp. It mellows after the second shot.

This taste of t1 reposado, came from a friend,, and I really want to say that something went wrong at some point, with what we have. And yes, I did taste this blind. I've had the t1 repo several times, and I remember it being tastier than this particular bottle. While the nose is nice, there are some burnt notes and raw wood tones, that are bothering me. I need revisit this tequila from a different bottle. German Gonzalez has always put out a stellar tequila, so this review is just as disappoint to me as it would be to him.

LOTE 97t1R14, acquired aprox. in 2014. Color: light yellow. Aroma: raw green agave, white pepper, slightly acidic, wet earth, light vanilla. Palate: raw cooked agave, slightly acidic, wet earth, at the end it is slightly bitter. Finish is medium to medium long, raw cooked agave with slight bitterness persist.

Nice legs. Strong medicinal scent and taste. Slight burn finish. No real trace of agave.

While the aroma is not very inviting, I enjoyed hints of pepper and the grassy, earthy flavors.

Eyes: Very clear and bright. There is almost no color to this repo - very light straw color. Very little tears left behind by the long gentle legs that snake their way down the glass. Nose: agave, butter, and alcohol are the dominant aromas. Once it opens up I get scents of wet grass, some pineapple, banana, lemon, hay, rose, baby oil and cream soda. Taste: not very complex taste, but it is very good. The alcohol leaves some lip numbness (which I dont mind). I get agave, pepper, banana, and grapefruit. Finish: The finish stays with you. It is a nice blend of oregano and mint. It is a nice repo that I may buy again if I am lucky enough to find it again.

nose is a little hot and one dimensional with agave. not in a bad way. taste is soft with baked agave, mild oak, some herbaceous and citrus qualities, minimal cinnamon. finish is stronger in baked agave and fresh agave, with a nice mild linger and warmth.

Sweet. Creamy buttery nose, lots of agave with a bittersweet chocolate just before the finish.

Sampled this one last night and liked it, I need to buy a bottle to fully explore the flavor and develop a more thorough rating...

Initial aroma shows strong alcohol with a very subtle sweetness. Initial sip confused me because I was expecting some harshness but instead I was treated to a medium bite and a hint of sweetness that was like agave syrup. Decently priced at less than 40$ worth the try.
