sweet, oak, alcohol forward, artificial cloying on tongue.
sweet aroma, some cooked agave, candied nuts, oak, bourbon notes. flavor hits with an unnatural sweetness that, while might be subtle and pleasing to some, it really stands out too much for me. some cooked agave, vanilla and oak. would not drink again, would not recommend (so zero points for those two criteria). too many additive free brands available
Rather interesting. On the aroma, there’s something fruity, possibly even banana. The taste has spiciness and pepper. The finish is OK.
tasted 2014 found my notes but just said good low to mid 80s
1079 delicious! tasted 2014
Blind tasted: Cooked agave, honey, fruity, floral, peach, baking spices, bitter, astringent, orange blossom
This is from an old bottle. Ok to good aroma. A really interesting taste—cinnamon red hots that have fermented. Finish is good. Warm and slightly sweet.
The initial smell of butterscotch is enticing and gourmand. I can pick up smells of agave but it's outshined by caramel sweetness and oak. This iare some mineral notes as well. On the palate is overt sweetness with a dash off pepper, very non-offensive, the agave once again is but a squeak compared to the butter pecan taste and white pepper. The finish is aight' but what I don't care for is the chemical taste that lingers in my throat.
